We want to use the middle name [name]Leigh[/name] (it’s my middle name) but we’re having a hard time coming up with a name to go with it- most of the names we like are gender neutral, and since [name]Leigh[/name] is also gender neutral, I think we need to find a feminine name to pair it with.
The problem is, most of the feminine names I actually like are way too popular-[name]Ava[/name], [name]Anna[/name], [name]Juliet[/name]… we want a name that is a little less common.
Anyone have any suggestions for an unusual but feminine name to go with [name]Leigh[/name]? And by unusual, I don’t mean obscure…just something not in the top 100.
If [name]Leigh[/name] in the middle is causing you problems, another idea to consider would be to find a name with -ly, -lie, -lee, -leigh in it that would also honor you. Ex: [name]Loralie[/name], [name]Analie[/name], [name]Cecily[/name], etc.
Thank you so much! I’m starting to think the same thing- maybe using a name with leigh on the end! For some reason, I think the “L” sound is throwing me off…a lot of names that end in vowels don’t seem to flow well with it.
So I’m up for any name suggestions with ley/lee/leigh/lie endings too!
[name]Juliet[/name] isn’t popular–it’s only #451, so maybe that could still be an option for you? (I don’t think it’s the best with [name]Leigh[/name], though…)
I read that you’re open to names ending in [name]Ly[/name]/Lie, etc., so you may like:
First thing that occurred was [name]Clemence[/name] [name]Leigh[/name], followed by [name]Patience[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t know why, as I don’t particularly like those names.
Then I got [name]Corinne[/name] and [name]Madeleine[/name] (but that one’s already been suggested).
