Unusual family name

I was talking with my grandmother when she offered up my great-grandfather’s middle name which I had never heard and immeadiately fell in love with. My husband has agreed to allow us to use it as a middle name, but I need some help with a first name to go with.
His middle name was Alkanah, which was a variant of the biblical name Elkanah. We want something a bit more classic/traditional to go with and maybe a shorter name. However sis’s name is [name]Jocelyn[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name] (Jocie for short) so a longer name with a nickname might go well too.
Thanks!

I love your daughter’s name!

Biblical options you may like:

[name]Jude[/name] Alkanah
[name]David[/name] Alkanah
[name]James[/name] Alkanah
[name]Nathan[/name] Alkanah (I don’t think [name]Nathaniel[/name] works because of the el/al sounds)
[name]Peter[/name] Alkanah (not the best flow…)
[name]Reuben[/name] Alkanah
[name]Simon[/name] Alkanah
[name]Samson[/name] Alkanah

[name]Edward[/name] Alkanah (I think this is great, and I love the [name]Teddy[/name] and [name]Ward[/name] nicknames)
[name]Henry[/name] Alkanah
[name]Victor[/name] Alkanah (with the or/er names, I hear Victoral Kanah…not the best…)

Good luck!

[name]Nehemiah[/name] Alkanah
[name]Obediah[/name] Alkanah
[name]Zachariah[/name] Alkanah
[name]Solomon[/name] Alkanah

[name]Jill[/name] I love all these names you suggested and I would like to add

[name]Charles[/name] Alkanah
[name]Gabriel[/name] Alkanah
[name]Joel[/name] Alkanah

I think [name]Simon[/name] is a very handsome name and I would love to see that used.
