Unusual Family Names

Combing through my extended family tree, I’ve found a few unusual names. Which ones do you like, if any?

Personally the oddest one for me was [name_m]Anchor[/name_m] b[/b], but there were a good ten or so women named this, so it must have been popular within the family!

I really like [name_m]Amos[/name_m] and [name_m]Virgil[/name_m], they would make great middle names.
I like [name_f]Alma[/name_f], too (I have it in one of my combos)

[name_f]Alma[/name_f] is so pretty, but it’s a family name in recent history. I don’t think I’d quite get away with it. I’m generally not into honoring names but it would feel like I was honoring her (my great aunt). Which … doesn’t make a ton of sense as we don’t see each other that often, even though I find her pleasant. But as to some of the others, they would make for some interesting choices. I am fond of [name_m]Amos[/name_m].

For males, I really only like [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_m]Absalom[/name_m], and [name_m]Uriah[/name_m]. For females, I only like [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] and [name_u]Ivah[/name_u] (never heard of [name_u]Ivah[/name_u] before but I actually really like the sound of it!). Definitely many interesting names on the list! One of the perks of researching family trees is that you oftentimes do find such names
