I’m expecting a daughter in the [name\_f]Spring[/name\_f] and looking for an appealing but less common name to match her brothers [name\_u]Roscoe[/name\_u] and [name\_u]Merritt[/name\_u].

Names on our list that we like but that probably are not THE ONE:
[name\_f]Valley[/name\_f]
Veralee
[name\_m]Wilder[/name\_m]
Clese
[name\_f]Alta[/name\_f]
[name\_f]Althea[/name\_f]
[name\_f]Winslet[/name\_f]
[name\_f]Marceline[/name\_f] (We’ve loved for years but it’s an M name and now seems too feminine.)

We prefer a more masculine girl name, preferably two or more syllables, NOT beginning with R or M.

I would love to hear some new ideas!

xo Thanks!

Veralee is very pretty.
Middle name options include [name\_u]Arden[/name\_u], [name\_f]Cleo[/name\_f] or [name\_f]Dalia[/name\_f].

Some rare, androgynous-sounding (while not all actually androgynous) girls’ names…

[name\_u]Feliz[/name\_u]
\>A tomboyish Spanish [name\_f]Felicity[/name\_f]-cousin.
[name\_f]Keren[/name\_f]
\>An uncommon Hebrew name.
[name\_u]Tegan[/name\_u]
\>A bit like [name\_u]Teagan[/name\_u] that has already been suggested, this uncommon Welsh girls’ name is pronounced “TEG-uhn”.
[name\_u]Hero[/name\_u]
\>Both a figure in Greek myth and a character in [name\_m]Shakespeare[/name\_m].
[name\_f]Keziah[/name\_f]
\>I don’t know if it’s just me, but I see this Biblical name as being very spunky and masculine.
Aziliz
\>The [name\_m]Breton[/name\_m] form of [name\_f]Cecilia[/name\_f], apparently.
[name\_u]Bevin[/name\_u]
\>An Anglicisation of the Irish name Bebinn.
Marsail
\>I know it begins with an M, but I couldn’t resist suggesting it as a more tomboyish alternative to [name\_f]Marceline[/name\_f] (which I love), as it is a Scottish variation of the name, and while a girls’ name, sounds exactly like the boys’ name [name\_m]Marcel[/name\_m].

What handsome names your sons have, and congratulations on your daughter.

My take on your options:

[name\_f]Valley[/name\_f]: would be a great fit with her two brothers, & it’s masculine but still has that sparkle.
Veralee: is lovely as well and rolls off the tongue nicely. Veralee is my second favorite.
[name\_m]Wilder[/name\_m]: is a rustic name that I adore however, I think it would be more suitable as a middle.
Clese: is more feminine than some of your other options but is still an okay name. It just doesn’t wow me like [name\_f]Marceline[/name\_f], Veralee, and [name\_f]Valley[/name\_f] do.
[name\_f]Alta[/name\_f]: is unexpected but sounds great!
[name\_f]Althea[/name\_f]: sounds great with [name\_u]Roscoe[/name\_u] and has the same vintage vibe as [name\_u]Merritt[/name\_u].
[name\_f]Winslet[/name\_f]: this is my least favorite, it doesn’t sound good in your sib set and is much more feminine than all your other options.
[name\_f]Marceline[/name\_f]: Swoon! It’s my [name\_m]FAVORITE[/name\_m], and I wouldn’t worry about the shared initial. Most people probably won’t even notice. It’s masculine, unique, and vintage! I hope you pick this one!

Here are just a few other options that you may be interested in. They lean more toward the unisex spectrum-- [name\_m]Clark[/name\_m], [name\_u]Collins[/name\_u], [name\_u]Jameson[/name\_u], [name\_m]Bennett[/name\_m], Bramble, [name\_f]Briar[/name\_f], Solace, [name\_m]Feagan[/name\_m], Bromwell, [name\_m]Maxwell[/name\_m], [name\_u]Paxton[/name\_u], [name\_u]Marlow[/name\_u] and [name\_m]Valiant[/name\_m].

Goodluck\*

[name\_f]Althea[/name\_f] and [name\_f]Alta[/name\_f] are both lovely and would be lovely with [name\_u]Roscoe[/name\_u] and [name\_u]Merritt[/name\_u].
My suggestions are definitely uncommon:
Amethea
[name\_m]Emrys[/name\_m]
[name\_f]Aislin[/name\_f]
Talwyn
[name\_f]Lapis[/name\_f]
[name\_u]Florian[/name\_u]
[name\_u]Vale[/name\_u]
[name\_f]Aphra[/name\_f]
[name\_f]Orla[/name\_f]
[name\_f]Astra[/name\_f]
[name\_m]Iver[/name\_m]
[name\_f]Carys[/name\_f]
[name\_u]Vesper[/name\_u]
[name\_m]Ravine[/name\_m]
[name\_u]Gentry[/name\_u]
[name\_f]Eseld[/name\_f]
[name\_u]Praxis[/name\_u]
Everil
I particularly think that Amethea, Talwyn, [name\_f]Orla[/name\_f], [name\_m]Iver[/name\_m] and [name\_u]Praxis[/name\_u] compliment your two sons’ handsome names.
Good luck finding the perfect name for your daughter.
