I don’t mind it. Wouldn’t use it myself though.

Sorry, [name]Rollo[/name], but it feels to me like an attempt to update [name]Dolores[/name], except [name]Lori[/name] or [name]Lorie[/name] isn’t much of an update these days. I had to vote thumbs down.

I like it better than [name]Delores[/name], but pronounced that way it sounds like you’re saying de [name]Laurie[/name].

I would like it better as deh-lah-ree, like [name]Valerie[/name] with a D. [name]Della[/name] [name]Ree[/name] but that might be better spelled Delarie.

I’m sorry, my instinct is to say it as de-lor-ee, so with that pn and spelling, I don’t like it.

I like it. I think of it like its own name as opposed to a combination of sounds of other names. That’s just how my ear is picking it up. I think it’s pretty.

My first thought was that it reminds me of [name]Mallory[/name]. Which is the way I’d pronounce it too, on sight. And, I really like [name]Mallory[/name].

Then I kept repeating it and realized that it was a ln that I have come in contact with over the years.

It’s not a made up name, but definitely not an overly common one. And, with the trend of using surnames as given names, I’d say go for it if you wish. [name]Just[/name] know that you’ll have to often explain where you got it from.

If it’s one of your family names I’d say go for it.
Otherwise I agree with @[name]Pam[/name] it sounds like a mixture of names or an attempt to update a classic.

It’s ok to me, but all I can think is Delorian (the car from back to the future)

Me too! My first thought was ‘please don’t give her the mn [name]Ann[/name]’.

THANK YOU. I was reading through the first five or six comments and thinking “Does no one else hear this???” Also @nat108, I LOL’ed at Delorie [name]Ann[/name].

It’s a big no for me, but I could see people liking it as an alternative to say, [name]Delaney[/name].

What a great connection!! I love [name]Michael[/name] [name]Fox[/name] and the film, it is iconic. Thank you.

rollo

My first thought too!!

Makes me think of the Delorian. Back to the [name]Future[/name] and the flux capacitor.

I’m with [name]Pam[/name] on this one. :frowning: I like the idea of it, and it sounds more cutesy than [name]Dolores[/name], but if I wanted to update [name]Dolores[/name], I would opt for [name]Lola[/name] rather than Delorie.
