We already have two middle names to honor [name_f]Mara[/name_f] (Elara and Mar), and we’re looking for something unusual to honor either [name_u]Sage[/name_u] or [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. We want names for both boys and girls, get as creative as you want! (Unfortunately, we do not like [name_f]Paige[/name_f], [name_m]Cage[/name_m], or Gage). This will probably be a middle name! Thanks!!
I think the unique forms of Anne list might have some inspiration for honoring Hannah. Other versions of Hannah are Hana and Channah. Annika could be a good alternative! Or maybe Panna. Ann Alternatives: Updating a Classic | Nameberry
Any spice name could honor [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. I associate [name_u]Sage[/name_u] heavily with Thanksgiving so a name having to do with gratitude or giving thanks maybe. Something like [name_f]Mercy[/name_f]. Also sage means a wise one so a name like [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. I think of beautiful sage grouse birds so maybe a bird name.
With [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] or [name_u]Anne[/name_u].
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m], [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] could be honors for [name_u]Sage[/name_u]!
(Alfred means “sage and wise” and [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] are different takes on Alfred)
As for [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], you could do any [name_f]Ann[/name_f] name as mentioned above!
[name_u]Anne[/name_u]
[name_f]Annie[/name_f]
[name_f]Annika[/name_f]
[name_f]Anouk[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Nancy[/name_f]
[name_u]Or[/name_u] you could use [name_f]Grace[/name_f], since [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] means “Grace”. Other honors for [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] include [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_u]John[/name_u] and [name_u]Jack[/name_u]. Which all have a meaning associated with [name_f]Grace[/name_f]!
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps
[name_u]Hanalei[/name_u] and [name_f]Saga[/name_f] came to mind!
All I can think to add is [name_f]Hannelore[/name_f]. I think it’d be an fun and unique way to honor a [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]!
Ope, you’re thinking of [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]! [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_u]Jack[/name_u] and [name_u]John[/name_u] are “God is Gracious”
Oh, thanks!
I like [name_f]Annette[/name_f] and [name_f]Annetta[/name_f] for [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], or even [name_f]Nanette[/name_f]. For [name_u]Sage[/name_u] I would go with [name_f]Savvy[/name_f] (meaning smart) for a girl and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] for a boy.
For [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]:
-Anneliese, Annelien, [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Anya[/name_f], [name_f]Annika[/name_f], or [name_f]Rosanna[/name_f] (Anne and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] being other forms of Hannah)
-Nan (an [name_u]Anne[/name_u] nickname)
-Hannelore and [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] (sound and look more like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] but don’t share the same meaning, as far as I know)
-Alannah (such a close spelling!)
-Ava, [name_f]Elle[/name_f], or [name_f]Viv[/name_f] (or any other palindrome name that is the same backwards and forwards, like Hannah)
-Hank, [name_m]Antonio[/name_m], or [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] (just because of the beginning sounds)
For [name_u]Sage[/name_u]:
-another herb/plant name, such as [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] or [name_f]Saffron[/name_f]
-a name that means wise, or even using Wise or [name_u]Wisdom[/name_u] as a name (I really like Wise as a middle name for a little boy!)
-a name that uses all the letters of [name_u]Sage[/name_u] (I thought of [name_f]Solange[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], and the very bold Seagazer and Seaglass)
-Sigrid (just because Sig/Siggy reminds me of Sage)
[name_u]Havana[/name_u] !
I seriously love all of these suggestions (Hannelore and [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] are just gorgeous!!) Thank you so much to everyone commenting :)))
Sanne/Sanna came to mind
[name_u]Mage[/name_u]
Sagebrush or the spelling [name_u]Saige[/name_u] for sage
[name_f]Hana[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Annia[/name_f]
[name_m]Hans[/name_m]
[name_u]Hanalei[/name_u]
I think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] as a way to honor both [name_u]Sage[/name_u] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] would be great!
