Update: Surprise!

Turns out we’re having twins! I shouldn’t be too surprised as identical multiples run rampent throughout our family, but we have altered our name list…

Boy Names:
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Blake[/name] ([name]Blake[/name])
[name]Lucas[/name] [name]Mason[/name] ([name]Mason[/name])

Girl names:
[name]Ansley[/name] [name]Grace[/name] (Going by both…finally convinced my husband of the “traditional spelling” vs. the made up one)
[name]Emery[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] (nn [name]Emme[/name])

If its boy-girl twins, we will have …
[name]Mason[/name]
[name]Ansley[/name] [name]Grace[/name]

We still have a long while before the DD so these are still up in the air!

Boy Names:
[name]Thomas[/name] [name]Blake[/name] ([name]Blake[/name]) I prefer [name]Blake[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name] [name]Mason[/name] ([name]Mason[/name]) with [name]Blake[/name] I like [name]Mason[/name] [name]Lucas[/name]

Brothers [name]Blake[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name]. This is a very smart and coordinated sibset. No point in calling the boys by their second names.

Girl names:
[name]Ansley[/name] [name]Grace[/name] You meant [name]Ainsley[/name] [name]Grace[/name] didn’t you? That is nice
[name]Emery[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] (nn [name]Emme[/name]) Not sold on [name]Emery[/name] it reminds of emery boards for filing nails. [name]Emme[/name] is cute though and [name]Ruth[/name] is lovely.

I would have to suggest [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] with sister [name]Ainsley[/name] [name]Grace[/name], that would be perfect!

If its boy-girl twins, we will have

[name]Mason[/name] [name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Ansley[/name] [name]Grace[/name] I noticed that you have left the ‘i’ out again I hope that this is a typo.

If you make those slight adjustments you have a really lovely set of names.

Best wishes!

I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Ansley[/name]! It is beautiful and classic, yet still spunky because it is not very common

Statistical view of [name]Ansley[/name]

[name]Ansley[/name] is an uncommon first name for MEN but a very common LAST name for both men and women (#7051 out of 88799). (1990 U.S. Census)

nope, not a typo…my mom in law’s mn is [name]Anne[/name] and my husband mn is [name]Lee[/name], both very important names to their family…so it would be pronounced Anns-lee! (that’s how my husband wanted to spell the name, but I FINALLY talked him into the more “traditional” spelling…)

Congratulations!
Actually, identical twins aren’t genetic, only fraternal twins are. Identical twins are a fluke! You’re very lucky. I’m an identical twin myself

It’s actually so strange with Identicals in my family…my mom is an identical twin and she has 4 sets of identical cousins, my grandma had 2 sets of identical siblings (both sets boys) and my brothers are identical triplets…No treatments, just luck, I suppose!

On the flip of that my husband has a set of fraternal twin cousins, and he was a twin with the other passing away at birth (fraternal).

We were just destined to have multiples, I guess!
