Update!

Hello! It’s been a while since I posted on here. We’ve just gotten good and settled in the new house. It’s a lot bigger than the old one and decently priced. [name]Persephone[/name]'s area is all set up and we’re about to have both baby showers. I’m very happy! Also, [name]Cody[/name] got a job so yay! I finally got to stop working where I was (which I hated working at) and he’s bringing home more money than I was. Now, I’m starting up my own in home business. I’m making product and trying to get stockpiled before the baby gets here. I’m making hair bows and other accessories. I already have my first order (50 bows) and I’m on my way to making them. When I get an Etsy set up, I’ll post it

I’m 8 months along, been feeling a few, not very painful [name]Braxton[/name]-Hicks contractions lately, which is weird for me. I’m very nervous about labor and scared I won’t be able to handle it, but I think, in the end, I’ll surprise myself. I know half the pain is in my head and I’ll only make it worse by trying to anticipate it. The doctor says [name]Persephone[/name] is perfect and right on track. She’s 4 pounds even. He says I’m a great first time mother as I haven’t had any pregnancy problems, no gestational diabetes, nothing.

All in all, the move went well, the business is getting started, the pregnancy is almost over (relieved sigh) and I’m very happy with life!

Wonderful to hear that you and [name]Persephone[/name] are doing so very well! She will be here so soon.

Definitely post your Etsy link once you’re set up, any chance you’re doing baby hats or (soft) headbands?

[name]Welcome[/name] back to Nameberry, Dantea! It sounds like you have everything under control. With all of the challenges and changes that you’ve faced in these last months, I know that you’ll find the courage and strength to get through labor with flying colours. Take special care that you get time to rest. I’ll be rooting for you and [name]Persephone[/name].

I will be doing head bands and soft hats (if I can find good ones in my local store to work with. If not, I’ll have to save some money and buy some sewing materials). I’m working on my first order and extra stock now

And I’m definitely resting! The bows and whatnot aren’t stressful so I’m pretty content right now. Thanks you two!

Congratulations [name]Angel[/name]-- so glad things are going so well.

I was just thinking about you earlier today, wondering how you were getting on! So lovely to hear that everything is going well and that you are happy

I’m happy to hear the move went well! I love Etsy, so yes, please post a link to your shop once you’re up and running!

I have to say I missed you. So much that, a day or two ago, I checked to see if you’d posted lately. A big part of it was curiosity about how the baby and you were doing. [name]Happy[/name] to hear the good news of your problem free pregnancy.

Oh my goodness, I’m so happy things are going so well!!! Sounds like your pregnancy has been quite similar to mine, and [name]Rosalind[/name]'s birth was a very good experience, it cured all my fears of doing this in the future. I’m glad your hubby’s got a job! Looking forward to reading the birth announcement and seeing piccy’s of little [name]Persephone[/name]!!!

I’m excited too [name]Ottilie[/name]! I hope everything goes smoothing. If I can judge real contractions on the [name]Braxton[/name]-Hicks ones, those aren’t hardly even hurting. I believe I used the word “mild annoyance” to describe them to [name]Cody[/name]. I have another doctors appointment next week ([name]Every[/name] 2 weeks right now) and I hope everything goes well. He said he either got her due date wrong the first time or she’s a bit large, but he was getting [name]May[/name] 24th this last time rather than [name]June[/name] 4th, and that’s in the area of allowed error. So nervous though! It’s almost here!

And [name]Ottilie[/name], I looked at [name]Rosalind[/name]'s picture! She’s precious! I’ll definitely post pics on here as soon as I feel up to it.

And, I’ll be sure to post my Etsy link as soon as I have enough product to be able to. I’d be happy to take custom orders if you want to give them to me (not right now, but soon). Thanks everyone for the congrats and affection! I missed all of you!

Thank you!!! And my [name]Baba[/name] was born nine days early, and she was perfect.

[name]Angel[/name], so glad everything’s worked out beautifully! Good to know you’re content with life and ready for little [name]Persephone[/name]. We’ve missed you here!

Congrats! I’m glad to hear of such positive updates on your pregnancy.

From what I hear, mental state is a large part of the labour experience. Keep positive and encouraging thoughts, and you’ll be fine.

Congratulations on your new nest, and welcome back Dantea. [name]Persephone[/name] is a daringly gorgeous name!

I’m curious as to how you’re doing! The last blog update was on [name]May[/name] 7th, and you were starting to dilate then so I figure that by now you surely have delivered [name]Persephone[/name]!

Hoping you are well and happy! <3

No I haven’t had the baby yet. I just don’t have internet at my house so I forget to update the blog. >.<

When I went in last Tuesday, he said “Oh, you’re pretty much all the way thinned out but still only a little more than 1 cm dilated” Sigh! He also says she weighs 8 pounds and that frustrates me because I’m eating less than I was for the last few months and yet she supposedly gained 3 pounds in 2 weeks. Huff. Maybe he’s wrong (hopefully) because I’m a little person and I want a chance to do this naturally. My next appointment is tomorrow and I’ll update the blog and post here.

Thanks for the update! I was so curious!

Weights that the docs give you are just estimates and are often wrong! And I have met bigger women who have had to have small babies via C-section as well as [name]TINY[/name] ( i mean like 5’0" and about 100lbs prepregnancy) who have had 9lb babies naturally!

Hopefully you have the support of your doctor to do it naturally! I know so many women who have been convinced to have c-sections even when it was not necessary [name]JUST[/name] because it was more convenient for the doc!!!

Good luck and I look forward to hearing updates!

Wonderful news. I wish you all the best!

rollo

My smallest was 7lbs 6oz and my biggest was 8lbs 4oz. I never had a c-section so don’t get discouraged. If you’re all the way thinned out the rest will happen quickly. I hope your appointment tomorrow brings good news!

My doctor is all for doing things naturally. As a matter of fact, I had to force him to sit down and talk to me about the possibility of needing to be induced. My due date is just like, next week and so I told him “look, all my family is out of town. I want to set an induction for 2 weeks so I’m not too over my due date” and he finally talked to me about it and set it up. I told him I was concerned about having a c-section and he said “Oh no, you still have a good chance of doing this naturally.” So I’m not worried about him, just my own body holding up >.<

I was 2 cm dilated this time and still progressively thinning so yay! He says if I’m still pregnant by the 4th of June and no more dilated, he’ll induce me on the 5th. ^^ So it’ll be over soon ^^
