Thanks a million for everyone’s helpful feedback, I struggle so much with names, our poor daughter didn’t have a name for 4 days and I’m determined not to let that happen this time around. I think (I hope!) I finally narrowed down our list, it’s been all over the place!
We have a mixed faith family, last name is very Jewish sounding (very similar to Goldberg). Would like a name that is familiar, but not over used, classy and sophisticated but not pretentious. Would also like to avoid a fad type name that will likely go out of style quickly. Big sister [name]Jillian[/name] (almost 3) has dark hair and blue eyes. I’m guessing baby will have dark hair as well. [name]Baby[/name] will be of mixed Irish/Greek decent. Husband would like a middle name that starts with an A. Which of these names do you think fits best? (or do you have another suggestion!)
[name]Theodore[/name] (too formal to pair with [name]Jillian[/name]?) (too clunky with somewhat long last name?)

[name]Simon[/name] (like this one, hard getting used to it for a baby though, but the baby phase is short!)
I like [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name]. [name]Oliver[/name] isn’t trendy, it is a classic. [name]Elliot[/name] reminds me of Detective Stabler from [name]Law[/name] and Order: SVU. [name]Simon[/name] isn’t really my style. And [name]Simon[/name], [name]Theodore[/name]…do you like [name]Alvin[/name]?
Of your choices, my first vote would probably go to [name]Oliver[/name]. I prefer [name]Theodore[/name] as a name, but I’m not sure how well it matches with [name]Jillian[/name]. I’m not a big [name]Elliot[/name] fan, and [name]Simon[/name] feels classic but less exciting than sleek [name]Jillian[/name].
[name]Love[/name] all of the names on your list! You have great taste. All of them would be great for a baby & go well with [name]Jillian[/name]. I’m partial to [name]Theodore[/name] & [name]Simon[/name], but you really can’t go wrong.
I like all of them! [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Elliot[/name] (though I like [name]Elliott[/name] more, one t is just fine though!), like [name]Theodore[/name] (nn [name]Theo[/name] is nice). I think [name]Simon[/name] is my least favorite but it’s still a good name!
I think [name]Oliver[/name] is classic and I like it with [name]Jillian[/name]. [name]Theodore[/name] does feel a bit clunky; [name]Simon[/name] just feels mismatched. [name]Elliott[/name] seems okay to me and it’s second choice. I think [name]Rupert[/name] from pp suggestions would be a great pair with [name]Jillian[/name]!
