I am pregnant with my second daughter, due in [name]December[/name]. My husband and I have a two year old daughter named [name]Maya[/name], a sweet and spunky little girl, just like her name. It fits her perfectly! We’re having trouble coming up with another great name to go with it, though.
Our updated list: [name]Rose[/name], [name]Grace[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Blythe[/name], and [name]Avery[/name].
I love [name]Rose[/name], [name]Grace[/name], [name]Blythe[/name], and [name]Phoebe[/name], but I’m afraid that [name]Avery[/name] will sound too masculine paired with [name]Maya[/name]. What do you think?
For middle names, we’re thinking (in no particular order): [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Corinne[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Christine[/name], and [name]Diane[/name]
I love the new list! I do think [name]Avery[/name] is a little masculine with [name]Maya[/name]. After that, [name]Maya[/name] sounds great with all of them! While I like [name]Blythe[/name], I think the long “I” sound that [name]Maya[/name] and [name]Blythe[/name] share would maybe be a little strong. [name]Grace[/name] is pretty, but perhaps a tad traditional next to [name]Maya[/name]. So I would probably go for [name]Rose[/name] (classic, but nature-y) or [name]Phoebe[/name] (spunky and fun). But you couldn’t go wrong with any; I’m just trying to think of things that might help you decide.
I love [name]Corinne[/name], [name]Christine[/name], and [name]Catherine[/name]. [name]Rose[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] is gorgeous; [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Christine[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] are lovely, too. Runner-up [name]Grace[/name] would be beautiful with any of the middles.
I would use [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Phoebe[/name] with [name]Maya[/name]. I like [name]Rose[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Diana[/name].
I love [name]Phoebe[/name]! It definitely fits the spunk of [name]Maya[/name]. [name]Blythe[/name] fits as well. And of your middle names, my favorite is [name]Charlotte[/name], which I think goes well with either [name]Blythe[/name] of [name]Phoebe[/name] (maybe better for [name]Blythe[/name], considering the length of the two names)
Thank you so much for your input. A third opinion has been a great help to us!
We have decided to go with [name]Rose[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] or [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]. My husband and I want to meet our daughter first to see which name fits her personality best.
[name]Caroline[/name], [name]Max[/name], [name]Maya[/name], and [name]Rose[/name]/[name]Phoebe[/name]
Hmmm. With a less common name like [name]Maya[/name], I would steer away from [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] (as nice as they are) because they are becoming very common. I think [name]Phoebe[/name] fits nicely, but [name]Blythe[/name] would be my favourite. My only concern is that [name]Maya[/name] sounds very modern, and [name]Blythe[/name] is such a vintage name. I don’t think [name]Avery[/name] sounds to masculine!
best wishes!
