Updating to say that it’s a boy!
Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions.
We’re expecting our 8th and most likely last baby.
If it’s a boy we’ve decided on Charles, nn Charlie.
I’d like to somehow use both Joseph and Peter in the name but I’m not sure about the ordering.
CharlesPeter seems like it could lend to a second nickname of Chap.
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated:)
If baby is a girl, we’ve decided on Estelle, nn Stella.
My husband likes:
Estelle Aurora
Estelle Dawn
Estelle Claire
Estelle Marie (we already have a daughter with double first name Rose Marie so I initially said no, but I’ve heard of other Catholic families naming all their daughters with Marie or Mary in the name)
I would like to honor his mom’s name with either
Estelle Joy
Estelle Christine
Estelle Christina
[name_u]Welcome[/name_u] back to Nameberry and congratulations! I love both [name_u]Charles[/name_u] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] would be my choice for a boy. Chap (or maybe Chip?) is such a cute nickname.
For a girl, [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] are my favorites. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] are a bit too celestial for me together, though they have a pretty sound. I think you could get away with [name_u]Marie[/name_u] as a middle name as well. As you mentioned, it’s definitely not unheard of and I like the [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Maris[/name_f] connection.
Other suggestions:
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Christiane[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Kirsten[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Gioia[/name_f] (“joy” in Italian)
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Faustine[/name_f], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Faustina[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Marina[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] (a nod to Christine/Christina with the Ch- and Italian form of Claire)
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
I agree, Charles Peter Joseph (all handsome names that happen to be family names for me).
For Estelle, I think a double could work too, like:
Estelle Maria Christina
Estelle Maria Joy
Estelle Marie Joy
Estelle Dawn Marie
Estelle Mary Claire
Estelle Mary Christine
The only name I find tricky to pair is Aurora. I think it sounds a little harsh and almost gets lost after Estelle (eg Estella-Rora). It is nice to have the A sound to get to Stella - and you could use Estelle Christine Aurora or Estelle Aurora Maria (or of course Estelle Aurora) but I don’t think it’s quite as easy as the others (flow wise), at least not without a second middle.
Otherwise, with a sole middle, Estelle Marie is pretty, as are Estelle Claire and Estelle Christine. All tailored and elegant. Choice depends on last name too.
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is very classic and Chap is fun - [name_m]Chip[/name_m] also came to mind! [name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] works - although [name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] (Peter) lends nn CJ which is also great!
Other ideas:
Charlies [name_u]Poe[/name_u] (Peter + Joseph)
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_u]Jett[/name_u] (Joseph Peter)
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_u]Zuriel[/name_u] (means [name_m]God[/name_m] is my [name_m]Rock[/name_m] - combining meanings of [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] kind of)
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] Jostein (beginning of [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] and meaning of Peter)
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_u]Percy[/name_u] (combining sounds/letters)
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is gorgeous! I like [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] (meaning joy)
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] (a bit like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], with a bit of Christina)
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Deena[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Josette[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] Kristy/Kristie
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_u]Jorie[/name_u]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Chara[/name_f] (like [name_f]Christina[/name_f], a hint of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and also means joy?)
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_u]Mina[/name_u]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_u]Fern[/name_u]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_u]Charles[/name_u] is such a handsome name really classic, soft and charming. I like [name_u]Charles[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Joseph[/name_u] I think the flow is really gorgeous and sounds so solid. I also love the nickname [name_m]Chip[/name_m]. [name_m]Chip[/name_m] is adorable so outdoorsy with a fun southern flair.
For girls I think [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] would be gorgeous! I love how princess like and charming [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is such a lovely name. I think [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] would also be gorgeous. I actually love the name [name_f]Christina[/name_f] so for me [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is beautiful.
I love the idea of [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] also having two middle names especially as this is most likely your last baby!
I would have [name_f]Joy[/name_f] as the second middle name she’s such a lovely classic choice very happy and joyous.
You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
