Updating my list :)

[name]Hi[/name] ladies,

I was wondering if you’d be able to hep me update my list. I’ve never really had a proper boys list as DH and I never talked about names properly until we found out the genders of our girls.

So here’s my list, please critique!

[name]Nicholas[/name]
[name]Zachary[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Benjamin[/name]
[name]Jack[/name]
[name]Finley[/name]
[name]Laurence[/name]
[name]William[/name]
[name]Rory[/name]
[name]Elliot[/name]
[name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Noah[/name]
[name]Isaac[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Jack[/name]
[name]Beau[/name]
[name]Philip[/name]

Thanks in advance

I love the majority of your list!

[name]Nicholas[/name] is too plain for me, but it would make a lovely middle name. I do prefer [name]Nikolai[/name], as its a little bit different.

[name]Zachary[/name] is gorgeous, would be a favourite of mine if it weren’t my friends top choice for a boy.

[name]Callum[/name] is a name that I find a little dated, most [name]Callum[/name]'s I know of are over 10 years old, excluding one and although it does suit him perfectly, I do feel the name is on the way out.

[name]Benjamin[/name] is a classic that you can’t go wrong with and as much as I love the sound of [name]Benjamin[/name], I strongly dislike the bland ‘[name]Ben[/name]’ so definitely a better middle name choice for me.

[name]Jack[/name] is a name I’ve never understood the obsession of, I mean it’s so popular! I always think it sounds baby-ish and I can’t picture a grown up and/or professional [name]Jack[/name]. I much prefer [name]Jackson[/name] but would never consider because I don’t like [name]Jack[/name].

[name]Finley[/name] is gorgeous, I really like this one but I do seem to be hearing it everywhere lately. Also, the rise in popularity of [name]Finn[/name] and [name]Flynn[/name] might make it even more appealing.

[name]Laurence[/name], I don’t like at all. I think I just see [name]Lauren[/name] in it, and find it a little feminine (even though its not!). Plus, I have a friend named [name]Lauren[/name] and we used to joke around and call her [name]Laurence[/name]!

[name]William[/name] is another classic, that will forever be popular. I’d consider as a middle name but there is nothing wrong with it. I do prefer the nicknames [name]Liam[/name] and [name]Billy[/name] as they seem a little more up to date than ‘[name]Will[/name]’.

[name]Rory[/name] is gorgeous, I love this one! I keep thinking that [name]Finn[/name] & [name]Rory[/name] would make adorable brothers. I’d add [name]Rory[/name] to my list but it really doesn’t fit my style.

[name]Elliot[/name] is another gorgeous name that I can’t fault at all.

[name]Gabriel[/name] is one of my favourites, not sure I like either nicknames available but I do assume people would give him one.

[name]Noah[/name] would be on my list but that’s a different friends first choice for a boy. It is pretty popular at the moment but I’ve only ever met 1 and he’s like 6 years old.

[name]Isaac[/name] is my favourite boys name, so I love, love, love it!

[name]Oliver[/name] is way too popular for me, one of the names that really bugs me at the minute. Like if I hear of a lad 16 years + named [name]Oliver[/name], I think that’s really cool but I’m tired of hearing it on babies at the moment. This is another friend’s top pick!

[name]Beau[/name] is gorgeous and massively underrated. I have it as a middle name on my list but I love it more and more each day.

[name]Philip[/name] is my least favourite on your list because it feels like a middle aged man’s name, and I can’t see the appeal.

Favourites are [name]Isaac[/name], [name]Noah[/name], [name]Zachary[/name], [name]Beau[/name], [name]Finley[/name], [name]Gabriel[/name], [name]Rory[/name] & [name]Elliot[/name]

I love your list, [name]Lucy[/name]! As usual.

[name]Nicholas[/name] - it’s a bit boring for me, but my sister’s always liked it. I do like it as a MN, and I’ve been considering [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name]. I mainly like it for the nn [name]Cole[/name].

[name]Zachary[/name] - I like the full name, a lot, actually, but I’m not a fan of its nns at all. :frowning: Still, I think it’s a cool MN.

[name]Callum[/name] - like a lot! I think I’d be more likely to use [name]Calvin[/name], but I lovelovelove [name]Callum[/name], too.

[name]Benjamin[/name] - I like it, but I love [name]Bennett[/name].

[name]Jack[/name] - [name]Love[/name], love, love. If my first son isn’t [name]Jack[/name], I’m about 99% sure my second son will be! It has so much meaning to me personally, but I think it’s just fabulous for anyone.

[name]Finley[/name] - love. I think it’s so cute for a boy and so handsome for a man. [name]Finn[/name] is such a sweet nn.

[name]Laurence[/name] - not a fan, but I like this better than the [name]Lawrence[/name] spelling! It just looks softer and more classic.

[name]William[/name] - would you have a junior? I love it, but I would probably only use it as a MN.

[name]Rory[/name] - love, but I prefer it as a NN to [name]Rowan[/name] or [name]Riordan[/name] or [name]Gregory[/name] or something.

[name]Elliot[/name] - love, but I slightly prefer [name]Everett[/name].

[name]Gabriel[/name] - love. I would love to meet a little [name]Gabriel[/name], and the nn [name]Gabe[/name] is so cute.

[name]Noah[/name] - a personal favorite. [name]Love[/name].

[name]Isaac[/name] - love. It’s a MN on my own list.

[name]Oliver[/name] - like a lot, but it does feel a bit boring to me and I don’t love the nn [name]Ollie[/name].

[name]Jack[/name] - [name]Jack[/name] again? I still love it. Teehee.

[name]Beau[/name] - didn’t used to like it, but I love it now. I prefer it as a nn for something like [name]Bowen[/name] or [name]Brody[/name]…

[name]Philip[/name] - a bit too classic for me, but it is handsome, and I think the nn [name]Pip[/name] is just too cute.

(Seriously, I don’t know why I bother even commenting on your list… It’s practically impossible to find anything wrong with it. You always love such classic, charming, rich, strong, lovely names… I guess it doesn’t hurt that I love so many of your favorites, too, haha…)

With [name]Elena[/name] and [name]Violet[/name], I think my favorites are [name]Jack[/name], [name]Callum[/name], [name]Rory[/name], [name]Noah[/name], and [name]Finley[/name], but you seriously can’t go wrong with any of them!

Good luck!

[name]Nicholas[/name] - I like it and the possibility of [name]Nico[/name] as a nn. I dated a guy with this name though so it’s out for me!
[name]Zachary[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it! Another one out for me though since my cousin named her son this.
[name]Callum[/name] - [name]Love[/name] love love!
[name]Benjamin[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it, but I also had a friend with this name who died at 17 so it has meaning for me. Either way, great name!
[name]Jack[/name] - Like it.
[name]Finley[/name] - It’s ok.
[name]Laurence[/name] - Not a huge fan.
[name]William[/name] - Good, strong name, like [name]Liam[/name] as a nn (though it’s pretty popular).
[name]Rory[/name] - Too nicknamey for me.
[name]Elliot[/name] - [name]Love[/name]!!!
[name]Gabriel[/name] - Like but not a favorite.
[name]Noah[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it. Pretty popular though.
[name]Isaac[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it also. Have a cousin with a son named [name]Isaac[/name] who goes by [name]Zack[/name].
[name]Oliver[/name] - Like it.
[name]Beau[/name] - I hate this name personally. Nothing wrong with it, it just rubs me the wrong way somehow.
[name]Philip[/name] - Good name but NMS.

Overall, AWESOME list! I know a lot of those are on my list right now for a future son so it looks like we have similar taste. Here are a few more on my list if you’re interested:
[name]Ian[/name]
[name]Nolan[/name]
[name]Brennan[/name]
[name]Joel[/name]
[name]Jude[/name]
[name]Zane[/name]
[name]Emmett[/name]
[name]Wyatt[/name]
[name]Logan[/name]
[name]Blake[/name]

I love almost all of them!

[name]Nicholas[/name] - [name]Love[/name]
[name]Zachary[/name] - I like it but compared to some of the others it falls a little short
[name]Callum[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name]!!!
[name]Benjamin[/name] - [name]Love[/name]
[name]Jack[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name]!
[name]Finley[/name] - This reads a little feminine to me but not sure why
[name]Laurence[/name] - Same as [name]Zachary[/name], nice on its own but compared to some of the others on your list it lacks something
[name]William[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name]!
[name]Rory[/name] - This is my list favorite, it seems too nicknamey to stand alone
[name]Elliot[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Gabriel[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Noah[/name] - [name]Love[/name]
[name]Isaac[/name] - I like it!
[name]Oliver[/name] - Nice, I have never been the biggest fan of O names though
[name]Beau[/name] - This one is really growing on me
[name]Philip[/name] - A little on the plain side, probably better as an MN

Best Wishes

[name]Nicholas[/name] - a very nice name that I associate mildly with the 1980s and [name]Christmas[/name]. Perfectly nice but maybe not a top pick for me.
[name]Zachary[/name] - Also very handsome but mildly 1980s/1990s. [name]Feel[/name] similarly to [name]Nicholas[/name].
[name]Callum[/name] - Perfectly nice, very handsome really, although I prefer it with other Irish names, not sure if that’ll happen.
[name]Benjamin[/name] - I love this classic name.
[name]Jack[/name] - to me, forever a nickname, but obviously not everyone feels that way, handsome other than that concern.
[name]Finley[/name] - going to the girls. Not a big fan for either, just rose too fast.
[name]Laurence[/name] - love this however not wild about the possibility of [name]Larry[/name]. If you like that or can fight it, OK. Are you in US or UK? In US, I’d recommend [name]Lawrence[/name]…
[name]William[/name] - Timeless. Can’t deny it : D.
[name]Rory[/name] - very friendly and fun but also kind of feminine.
[name]Elliot[/name] - So handsome, I think a real pleaser.
[name]Gabriel[/name] - A very nice name that I mildly associate with the 1990s. Solid overall though.
[name]Noah[/name] - Great handsome name, very popular right now but worth considering.
[name]Isaac[/name] - Really like this, think it’s a better way to [name]Zack[/name] than [name]Zachary[/name] if that’s what you want.
[name]Oliver[/name] - Very handsome, I love it.
[name]Jack[/name] - you like it so much you put it here twice : D.
[name]Beau[/name] - really pleasing and cute but I’d rather see it in the middle, it’s a little bit short.
[name]Philip[/name] - Very handsome, I know two little boy [name]Philips[/name] and it’s so refreshing on them.

Here are some logical sets I see: [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Elliot[/name], and [name]Philip[/name] ([name]Laurence[/name] could work here too but maybe not in same group with [name]Oliver[/name]?)
[name]Noah[/name], [name]Isaac[/name], Bejamin, and [name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Callum[/name], [name]Rory[/name], and [name]Finley[/name] (although I don’t love [name]Finley[/name], and then [name]Rory[/name] and [name]Finley[/name] would have the same ending)
[name]Jack[/name] and [name]Beau[/name] : D
[name]James[/name] or [name]John[/name] nn [name]Jack[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name] nn [name]Nick[/name], [name]William[/name], maybe [name]Laurence[/name]/[name]Lawrence[/name]

All best!
