Hello lovely nameberrys!
Our daughter is arriving tomorrow shock horror 35 +6 weeks via emergency c section. We have decided to call our little lady [name]Izzie[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. Can’t decide weather to spell it [name]Izzy[/name], [name]Issy[/name], [name]Izzie[/name] or [name]Issie[/name]! Thoughts? Only other name we can agree on is [name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name]. But both leaning towards [name]Izzie[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. Help I have less than 14 hours!!!

I would choose the spelling you instinctively go for if you hear the name [name]Izzy[/name] and need to write it down. That might help you decide which one would work best for you.
I prefer the spelling [name]Izzy[/name]
My hubby loves [name]Izzy[/name] but I think it looks a little to masculine? I like [name]Izzie[/name] or [name]Issy[/name]. But I need all feedback so thanks for the speedy replies! X
I would spell it [name]Izzy[/name] if I heard it. Although [name]Izzie[/name] is so cute and [name]Issie[/name] is a little softer and more feminine looking in my opinion.
Originally I wanted [name]Issie[/name] but partner was scared she will get called I-ss-ie like [name]Jessie[/name] and not the zz sound? I didn’t think it was a prob. Gahhh that’s why I love the help on this sight! X
I think [name]Izzy[/name] would be the go to but I like [name]Izzie[/name] better.
I’d vote for [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Rose[/name] with [name]Izzie[/name] as her nn, but that’s just me. I definitely like [name]Izzie[/name] better than [name]Dylan[/name]. Good luck!
[name]Isabella[/name] is out. As is [name]Isobel[/name]. Fiancé won’t agree he said its to common and prefers just the nickname. It took a few weeks but it grew on me! Xx
I would do [name]Izzy[/name] or [name]Izzie[/name], I think with the “s” spelling instead of the “z” spelling her name will be misspelled often. I love the name, btw!
[name]Issy[/name] would get some mispronounciations
I would pronounce [name]Issie[/name]/y like I-ss -y, with the s sound. In many languages one ‘s’ is pronounced like a z, but two s’s are pronounces like an s, if that makes sense. If you name her [name]Issie[/name]/y and call her [name]Izzy[/name] it shouldn’t be too much of a problem, but I would expect some people who see her name before hearing it to first call her I-ss-ie.
I personally think [name]Izzy[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is a lot of z sounds in such a few syllables, but that might not bother you.
For spelling, I like [name]Izzy[/name] or [name]Izzie[/name]… the ss in the middle doesn’t give it the sound you’re looking for I think.
I would prefer [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Rose[/name], nn [name]Izzy[/name], personally. That way she has more options as she grows older in case she needs a more formal name for her career. Oh, and btw, you don’at HAVE to have a name picked out before she’s born. You have some time before the paperwork has to be submitted. Here it’s 30 days, and if you need more than 30 days, you just have to pay a fine. So, especially if it’s just spelling you’re thinking about, you can take your time. [name]Just[/name] don’t allow hospital staff to pressure you into filling in the paperwork before you are ready.
I wish now that we had waited a little longer. If I had had more time I might have done something a little differently. My baby boy would still have been given the same name, but I wish we had put his first middle name in the first name box so that it would be a double first name & therefore show up on official records. As it is, his full name is on his birth certificate and no where else. It’s not a big deal, but it was a bit of a shock when I first received documentation with just his first name, since I always think of him as [name]John[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] & not just [name]John[/name].
I actually prefer [name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] or perhaps [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Rose[/name], nicknamed [name]Izzie[/name]!? I know others will disagree, but if somebody brought in a resume with the name [name]Izzie[/name] or the name [name]Eliza[/name] or [name]Dylan[/name], I would take the [name]Dylan[/name] or [name]Eliza[/name] more seriously. I just find [name]Dylan[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] so much easier to grow into as an adult. You can still use [name]Izzie[/name] as a nickname for [name]Eliza[/name].
Of the Izzies, I prefer the [name]Izzie[/name] spelling. I tend to want to pronounce [name]Issy[/name] and [name]Issie[/name] with an S sound instead of a Z sound. I also find the ie ending seems prettier than the y ending. [name]Izzy[/name] just makes me think of [name]Iggy[/name] Pop. Sorry.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Rose[/name] as a middle name. So pretty and simple. Perfect!
I would do [name]Izzy[/name] or [name]Izzie[/name] for sure. [name]Issie[/name] will get the s sound instead of the z sound much more often in my opinion.
I like [name]Izzie[/name] for a girl and [name]Izzy[/name] for a boy (Guns n Roses). I think [name]Izzie[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is adorable. I love the name [name]Izzie[/name] but we named our girl cat [name]Izzie[/name] so could never use it now but love it so much! Not trying to say it’s an animal name either b/c all our cats have very human names [name]Hank[/name], [name]Trueman[/name] an [name]Izzie[/name].
I agree with a previous poster that [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Rose[/name] nn [name]Izzie[/name] would be lovely. Anyway, when I think of [name]Izzie[/name], I see it spelled that way. I think that the “ss” would be consistently mispronounced.
Thanks ladies! I’m all gowned up now and we are going with [name]Izzie[/name] [name]Rose[/name] xx
If it were my name, I would prefer to be named [name]Issie[/name]. Its interesting, and could fit a variety of personalities. I don’t care for [name]Izzy[/name]. Seems careless to me.
I like [name]Izzie[/name] spelling. 2nd choice would be [name]Izzy[/name]
