My son was just born and I am so torn about what to name him. His older siblings are named [name_f]Tara[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] and we are between [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] and [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. Need lots of opinions! Concerned about [name_u]Micah[/name_u]'s femininity and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]'s uniqueness, as I’m from a small town where there aren’t any other [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]'s. Thank you!
What’s wrong with having a boy with a soft name? I love [name_u]Micah[/name_u] and think [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] is a great name. [name_u]Micah[/name_u] isn’t a rough, hard name, but it’s a definite boys name with lots of usage going back to forever so I wouldn’t worry about its “femininity.”
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]'s “meh,” it’s always been a name I go to when nothing else seems to work so while it’s versatile, it’s nothing but “meh” to me.
I love [name_u]Micah[/name_u], but personally I’m not fond of sibling names beginning with the same letter. I’m not sure I’d classify [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] as unique. I live in a small town as well, but still think it’s becoming quite popular!
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]? [name_u]Elias[/name_u] ([name_m]Eli[/name_m])? [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]? [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]?
I don’t think [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is too feminine, but I do not think it would age all that well.
If you used [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], all your children’s names would have different endings. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know if that matters to you.
I prefer [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m], but both are handsome combos.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m], congratulations!
I love both names.
I actually think [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is much more unique than [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. I also don’t think [name_u]Micah[/name_u] sounds feminine at all. I disagree with the poster who said the name [name_u]Micah[/name_u] would’t age well.
If how sibling names flow together is important to you (it isn’t to me), [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] sounds nicer with the sibset because you don’t have the two M names. [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is a bit of a tongue twister, and then tara is the odd one out.
Both names are really nice though
I really love [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. I think its not unusul at all. Also, not a big fan of [name_u]Micah[/name_u] due to his older brother Initial being the same as his
I think both names are great. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is my favorite but you can’t go wrong. [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is definitely not feminine. I think with names like [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] becoming popular for boys, people won’t think it’s feminine just because it ends in the -a sound.
I think [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_u]Micah[/name_u] are too similar, so my vote is for [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. [name_f]Tara[/name_f], [name_u]Mason[/name_u], and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] are great together. [name_u]Micah[/name_u] would share the M with [name_u]Mason[/name_u], and -ah ending with [name_f]Tara[/name_f], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] doesn’t share anything.
