[name]Sophia[/name] - I like it okay. I love the meaning, but I always seem to waffle between [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Sofia[/name], and [name]Sophia[/name]. Right now, I think [name]Sophie[/name] is my preference, followed by [name]Sofia[/name], then [name]Sophia[/name], then [name]Sofie[/name]. I’m not really the hugest fan of [name]Sofie[/name].
[name]Isabella[/name] - love. I absolutely adore my beloved [name]Isabelle[/name], but I would be more than willing to compromise on [name]Isabella[/name].
I love it, it’s feminine, it’s timeless, it’s literary… I would use it just for the [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] connection, even though I haven’t read that particular [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] novel yet! I would be much more likely to use [name]Isabelle[/name], but I do really love [name]Isabella[/name], nearly as much.
[name]Emma[/name] - I like it. More as a MN than a FN. [name]Adeline[/name] [name]Emma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] is on my super long list; I have a second cousin named [name]Emma[/name] [name]Mae[/name], though, so I wouldn’t use it up front.
[name]Olivia[/name] - ah-dore. [name]Olivia[/name]‘s on my top 3.
I love Twelfth [name]Night[/name], which is where I hear [name]Olivia[/name] originated, and I love the sound, I love the nns [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Liv/name… it’s just so sweet and timeless and I adore it.
[name]Ava[/name] - eh. It’s okay. I can see the appeal, and I do like it, but of the top 10 names I would consider (which is essentially all of them that aren’t unisex), [name]Ava[/name] is at the very bottom. I like it, it just seems way too exotic to me. I don’t really do exotic, haha.
[name]Emily[/name] - I used to [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Emily[/name]. It’s so sweet and old-fashioned, but yet a classic. It’s a bit overused, but I still love it. I would probably use [name]Emilia[/name] over [name]Emily[/name], though… mainly because [name]Emilia[/name] more closely honors my great-grandma.
[name]Abigail[/name] - [name]Abigail[/name] was my first favorite girls’ name ever.
I still like it, but it’s a bit overused for me, and I don’t really like the nn [name]Abby[/name]. If [name]Abigail[/name] was underused and I could avoid [name]Abby[/name], I’d probably consider it again. I like it as a MN these days, though.
[name]Madison[/name] - Nope. I’m very much against [name]Madison[/name] on a girl. [name]Maddy[/name]'s cute, but [name]Madeleine[/name] is so much more lovely. It’s just so trendy.
[name]Mia[/name] - very cute. I was just thinking about [name]Mia[/name] the other day, how I just never think about it but it sounds so sweet and it’s a lovely nickname. I wouldn’t use it on its own, though, I like it much more as a nn.
[name]Chloe[/name] - I grew up with a [name]Chloe[/name] I didn’t get on with very well, so I wouldn’t use it, but it makes a very charming MN, imo, and I like that I could use [name]Lola[/name], one of my favorite nns ever.
[name]Elizabeth[/name] - I love the classic [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I have been really considering it lately, although I know I would absolutely use the less common [name]Elisabeth[/name] spelling. Not because of popularity, but because the “Z” seems harsh as opposed to spunky, and I resonate more with the [name]German[/name] and French history behind [name]Elisabeth[/name].
[name]Ella[/name] - love [name]Ella[/name]. If [name]Isabelle[/name] nn [name]Bella[/name] wasn’t my top choice, [name]Ella[/name] would probably be on my short list. It has lost a bit of its lustre, thanks to its popularity, but I do really love it.
[name]Addison[/name] - unisex aside, I really love [name]Addison[/name] for both genders. The name of the disease, yeah, it means “son of [name]Adam[/name]”, yeah, it’s uber trendy… I don’t care, I still love it, lol. If I used it, it’d be for a boy, but I really love [name]Addison[/name] for both genders almost equally.
[name]Natalie[/name] - eh. It’s nice. I only like it because it’s my sister’s name, though. I like [name]Noelle[/name] a lot more.
[name]Lily[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]. The last gift my grandmother gave me was a lily, so it’s very meaningful to me. I plan on using [name]Liliana[/name], or possibly [name]Lillian[/name]/[name]Lilia[/name], nn [name]Lily[/name], but I do like [name]Lily[/name] as a MN on its own.
[name]Grace[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]. [name]Grace[/name] is my grandmother’s mn, I definitely plan on using it!
[name]Samantha[/name] - eh. It feels overdone/dated to me. Overexposed. It was nice; now it’s just blah. I used to [name]LOVE[/name] it back when I was little, though. Then again, [name]Samantha[/name] was my favorite American Girl doll. I kind of got over it when my mom kept saying, “But [name]Sam[/name]'s ugly for a girl!” over and over, though.
[name]Avery[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] the name; hate the popularity on girls. [name]Avery[/name]'s on my top six for boys, I adore it. I can’t for the life of me see the appeal of [name]Avery[/name] on a boy, though.
[name]Sofia[/name] - I like it more than [name]Sophia[/name], but less than [name]Sophie[/name], these days.
[name]Aubrey[/name] - again, hate unisex names on girls. I love [name]Audrey[/name] for girls, [name]Aubrey[/name] for boys.
[name]Olivia[/name], [name]Lily[/name], [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Grace[/name], and [name]Ella[/name] are my favorites.
