Apparently I am drawn to Basque names, ha ha - how is [name_f]Naroa[/name_f] pronounced? “Nay-ro-ah”? That is awesome!
I’m definitely liking [name_f]Nere[/name_f] (Ner-ee) and [name_f]Noemie[/name_f]. I’m drawn to [name_f]Nuala[/name_f] too (since myself, my hubby and my son have both "a"s and "u"s in our name, it would create a nice balance! Nameberry says it is prouncouned “noo-la” - would most people here pronounce this way, or “nu-ah-la” (which kinda sounds like [name_m]New[/name_m] Orleans…ha ha)
[name_f]Nuala[/name_f] is basically pronounced Noo-la but there’s a slight ‘uh’ sound in the middle (very very slight). It’s a lovely name but I like it even more as a nn for [name_f]Fionnuala[/name_f]
Other N names (I’m pretty sure there will be repeats, sorry)
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Nahla[/name_f]
[name_f]Niamh[/name_f]
[name_f]Naia[/name_f] (it sounds similar to [name_f]Maya[/name_f] and [name_f]Maya[/name_f] is quite popular so why not?)
[name_u]Nicola[/name_u]
[name_f]Nicolette[/name_f]
[name_f]Nancy[/name_f]
[name_f]Nina[/name_f]
[name_f]Narcissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Nephele[/name_f]
[name_f]Nerissa[/name_f]
I do like the idea of the full name [name_f]Fionnuala[/name_f]…except my son’s name starts with A and we have called him “baby A” and “[name_m]Little[/name_m] A” for so long, it would seem mean to call a baby “[name_u]Baby[/name_u] F,” because inevitability, we would use a “letter” nickname:) It is a shame too, so many lovely names beginning with F!
