Using #1's middle name as #6's first name???

My 6th child is due in less than 2 months and we’re stuck on a name for my 5th daughter. My eldest is [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and we like The name [name_f]Kate[/name_f] for baby 6. Is it a problem to name this child [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?

(It may be important to note that my eldest daughter is from my ex-husband; [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is my current husband’s deceased grandmother.)

We also like [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] but weren’t wild about [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] with our last name of Ryemold given how “harsh” the two names sound together.

Other children are [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], jack [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (stillborn.)

If you’re going to call her [name_f]Kate[/name_f] anyways maybe just name her that?
It would go very well with your other children’s names as they are rather short too. You also wouldn’t have the [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] / [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] "problem"and you could still honor you husband’s grandmother.

I think it’s fine. It’s honoring a different person.
Opheliafloras suggestion of just using [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is good too. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] does seem to fit a little better with your other children’s names.

I agree with this!
I think it’s completely fine.
I love all of your children’s names, too.
