At this moment (can change at any minute of course) I have my heart set on:
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
and
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Willem[/name_m]
Both [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and obviously [name_m]Willem[/name_m] are derived from my grandpa’s name ‘[name_m]Willem[/name_m]’ and I actually really like the sound of the name but I wouldn’t use it in the first spot for boys, I think. However if I’d actually have a boy and a girl would this be too weird a sibset? If so, would that change if for example I’d have three or four children in total, so there will be children who don’t have ‘[name_m]Will[/name_m]’ names?
Since middle names aren’t used in everyday life I think you could get away with it. If you had more than two children, without names based on [name_m]Willem[/name_m] it could sound like those children were being left out of the theme unless you gave them names starting with W as well. If you had another two children then you could use the same honour name for them, so there would be [name_m]Willem[/name_m] and another name being honoured by your sibset.
I think honoring a person twice is a little weird, but because the one has it as a first name and the other as a middle name, it still works perfectly fine.
Agreed: most of the time, middle names aren’t used much, so most people wouldn’t even know you’d used the same honour name twice. I would be hesitant to plan to use [name_m]Willem[/name_m] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f] the way you’re thinking of if I was planning to have more than those two children, but again, if this is what feels right, I don’t think it’s a big deal.
That said, you might like the sound of [name_m]Callum[/name_m], which might serve to sort of reference [name_m]Willem[/name_m] but doesn’t look or sound like [name_f]Willa[/name_f].
I think if they were both first names that would be a bit much, especially with such similar names. Having one as a first, one as a middle or even both as middles I don’t think is a big deal.
