What are your opinions on Vada? I love the name so much. Middle name would be Jean. I fear some people might think it’s too unusual.
Do you pronounce it vae-duh or vad-uh? Either way, I think it’s a cool name. Reminds me of the name Vera, which I think is beautiful
[name_f]Vada[/name_f] is pretty. I think it’s completely usable! Since it is more uncommon there may be occasional corrections to pronunciation, but it’s similar in sound to [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Jada[/name_f], so overall I don’t think it will be a huge issue if you pronounce it VAY-duh.
Plus there’s the character [name_f]Vada[/name_f] Sultenfuss in the 1991 movie [name_f]My[/name_f] Girl, which is what immediately came to mind for me.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Vada[/name_f]! (Pronounced Vay-duh)
[name_f]Vada[/name_f] makes me think of [name_f]My[/name_f] Girl too. The movie may have emotionally scarred me as a child, but I’ve always liked the name.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] for clarification. Vay-duh is the pronunciation
Gorgeous name! Definitely usable imo
[name_f]Vada[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] works so well!
I love the name Vada😍. [name_f]My[/name_f] Girl was a fave movie of mine growing up. Definitely brings to mind so many great vibes, from [name_u]Strong[/name_u] and spunky to sweet and feminine. It has it all.
Personally I’m not a fan of [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. But there is nothing wrong with the combo [name_f]Vada[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. If you love it go for it.
[name_f]Vada[/name_f] is bright and pretty
Dislike.
In general, I dont like names that have unclear pronunciations. There are two A’s in this name, and two syllables where the A is at the end, and yet they won’t be the same phonetic letter. [va-da]
Also, it looks like Darth Vader.
[name_f]Vada[/name_f] is feisty and fabulous! I really like how simple and punchy it is, yet it’s still an established traditional choice with a lovely vintage vibe.
I too think of [name_f]My[/name_f] Girl but not exclusively. I think [name_f]Vada[/name_f] is going to catch on again soon — not to say it will become super popular, but if uncommonness is a concern, I think it will become more familiar over the next few years.
