Which do you prefer and why?
Would you find it strange for someone called [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] to have no Spanish ancestory or do you think names have become more international nowadays?
My other favourite girls names are [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
I love them both and don’t think you can go wrong although I slightly prefer [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] with your others!
I don’t even think of [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] as a Spanish name…the only [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]'s I’ve known have been Italian. I think some names are specific to a certain ethnic group or heritage and sound odd when used elsewhere, but many are used very widely and internationally and [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is one of those. Much in the way I don’t think of [name_f]Maria[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] as Spanish names, but I do think of [name_f]Paola[/name_f] or [name_f]Consuela[/name_f] as Spanish/Portuguese/Italian…
I like [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] better. I always have to remind myself that [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] is vee-o-letta instead of v-EYE-o-letta so I think it might have some pronunciation problems. I think [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] works well anywhere.
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] all the way! It is such a gorgeous name. I’m not really a fan of [name_f]Violetta[/name_f], it just doesn’t have that “it” factor [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
