Valerie?

Is it too dated? I keep thinking it is, but wish I didn’t. [name]Even[/name] the look of the name throws me off. I want to like it, but I just can’t seem to really like it.

What about you?

I think [name]Valerie[/name] is intriguing. Definitely dated, but I see its appeal, and, almost like [name]Rachel[/name], I think it should be used anyway. [name]Rachel[/name] I of course would use, it’s in my top 5 and I adore it. But like [name]Rachel[/name] and even [name]Amanda[/name] (another name I love but feels a bit more dated than I’d like), I think it’s usable. It’s just a bit too dated for me still. I think it’s a bit more timeless than most of the names dated to our era. I like [name]Valeria[/name], [name]Valencia[/name], and [name]Valentina[/name] as alternatives, though.

I like [name]Valerie[/name], it’s not that dated sounding to me but here are some related names if you’re looking for a fresh alternative. I cut and paste these so I dont know a whole lot about some of them or their popularity.

[name]VALERE[/name] ( Mixte )
[name]VALERIA[/name] ( Fem. )
VALERIANE ( Fem. )
VALERIANNE ( Fem. )
[name]VALERIE[/name]-[name]ANNE[/name] ( Fem. )
VALERIENNE ( Fem. )
VALERINE ( Fem. )

Yeah, I too much prefer [name]Valentina[/name].

I love [name]Valerie[/name]! I have been thinking about it for my own list as well. I don’t think it is too dated. It is almost as popular now as it was at its prime. It was at it’s peak in the 60’s which was around 50 years ago so I just would not consider it that dated. I think it has somewhat of classic feel, like [name]Rachel[/name]. It is nothing like [name]Pamela[/name] in the 60’s or [name]Jennifer[/name] in the 70’s.
