It is not on nameberry, but I think it sounds like a cool name. Kind of like [name]Brandon[/name] or [name]Landon[/name] but with a V. His nickname would be [name]Van[/name]. What do you think of Vandon?
Hmm, I can’t seem to find anything on this one (origin, etc), but [name]Van[/name] is a cute nickname. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Evander[/name], or Evandros?
[name]Van[/name] is awesome!
I have two objections to Vandon: 1) it sounds made up, so it might be the kind of name that isn’t taken seriously; 2) it sounds an awful lot like “vandal,” which is not a great association.
Have you considered [name]Donovan[/name] as an alternative?
It has the same elements (including the potential for nn’s [name]Van[/name] and [name]Don[/name]) but since it’s more of an established name also provides a more classic formal name as he gets older.
It sounds trendy and made-up to me, but if you like made-up names, then go for it. I don’t see any major problems with it, it’s just not my style.
To me, it sounds like [name]Van[/name] [name]Den[/name] _ - that is, like a Dutch name element. It would be a cool name if, well, if I’d ever heard of it before.
