Variations of Laura!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries!

I have loved [name_f]Laura[/name_f] for a really long time, my grandmother’s middle name was [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f] and my grandfather’s name was [name_m]Wray[/name_m], so [name_f]Laura[/name_f] feels like a way of honouring both of them. It’s also a pretty diverse name that would work in [name_m]German[/name_m] and Italian for our relatives. Currently we have [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Lora[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] on our list. My main concern will [name_f]Laura[/name_f] is that she feels a little predictable or plain, unlike [name_f]Mary[/name_f] where I can add a frilly ending and make her feel more unexpected ([name_f]Maribelle[/name_f], [name_f]Marielle[/name_f] etc.) I found that I don’t really like [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] either.

So I am looking for some more variation ideas besides [name_f]Lauretta[/name_f] or [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]? I do like Laurielle, but it has the Loreal connection and may not work if we use a long [name_f]Mary[/name_f] name. Thanks!

My favourites are [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] and Lauralie. I agree with you, [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] does not and has never appealed to me.
