I like [name]Violet[/name] better, basically because I have conservative taste in names : D.
[name]Violet[/name] also has more nickname options, which to me is a good thing, but obviously people disagree about that.
[name]Veda[/name] is perfectly pretty and reasonable but it feels new-agey to me, even though I know it has more history than that.
If it was [name]Vera[/name] or [name]Violet[/name], I’d prefer [name]Vera[/name].
I prefer [name]Veda[/name] over [name]Violet[/name]. First off I prefer the sound and vibe, I just find [name]Veda[/name] more appealing and quirky. Second, [name]Violet[/name] is far more popular and has lost it’s shine after hearing it over & over again. Third, I think [name]Veda[/name] has a great meaning.
I think [name]Veda[/name] is underused and fun. I definitely prefer [name]Veda[/name].
[name]Veda[/name] flows slightly better than [name]Violet[/name] in this combo but I like [name]Violet[/name] more 
I like [name]Veda[/name] better - both in your combinations, and as a name on its own.
[name]Veda[/name] is more unexpected than [name]Violet[/name], and has a softer sound. [name]Violet[/name] is popular, whereas [name]Veda[/name] is very uncommon. I think it’s always nice to be the only one of a name in your class or peer group.
I much prefer [name]Violet[/name] for two reasons. [name]Violet[/name] is a more colorful name imo (pun not intended), and it also flows much better with [name]Genevieve[/name]. The repeated long E (in [name]Veda[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name]) detract from the name. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is gorgeous!
I much prefer [name]Violet[/name] to [name]Veda[/name] but with mn’s [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Rose[/name] I prefer [name]Veda[/name]. I’m not a fan of having two different flower names in one full name. Basically [name]Violet[/name] _ [name]Rose[/name] strikes me as odd.

Oh! Thank you for setting me straight on that. “Vay-da” is much prettier than “Vee-da”!

I voted for [name]Veda[/name], though I also thought it was pronounced Vee-da at first, so you may have to correct people a lot. Also, even though I love it, I think Darth Vay-da. [name]Vera[/name] is my absolute favorite of the three. [name]Vera[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is beautiful, plus you don’t have two floral names this way. I agree that [name]Violet[/name] has lost it’s shine after seeing it in naming forums so much; however, I have only heard of one actual child named [name]Violet[/name]. Names feel different when you hear/see them used in real life rather than just hearing about them on forums. So [name]Violet[/name] is still a good choice.
haha, I thought the same thing. I voted for [name]Violet[/name] because I didn’t like “vee-duh” and discovering that it’s “vay-duh” only makes me think of someone saying Darth Vader in a funny way
In The Netherlands we say the e as an ay sound. So it would actually be more logic to go with the Vay da pronunciation. We considerd the Darth Vader thing but we don’t think it would be a big issue.

I think [name]Veda[/name] is very intriguing! I used to [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Violet[/name], but when the ssa.gov stats showed it as almost in the top 100(at number 101) I dropped it comepletely. I agree with agxobsessed that [name]Violet[/name] is super pretty, but has lost some of its shine. I think [name]Veda[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is unique, fresh, and beautiful! dedutchess, yes that would make sense and I’m glad that I now know a little more about pronunciation of names in The Netherlands. I try to check what nationality posters are from, but it passed me this time, sorry! Despite in the Darth thing, I still like the name [name]Veda[/name] pronounced Vay-da. [name]Veda[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is simply stunning.
[name]Veda[/name]!!! [name]Violet[/name] is too close to Violent. Plus [name]Veda[/name] has better meaning and is less common.
