What do you think of the name [name_f]Veda[/name_f] (pronounced Vay-da)? Some people think it should be pronounced Vee-da. I don’t read it with the long e sound. I read it with the same sounding e sound as beta.
I think it’s a wonderful name! But I would spell it [name_f]Vada[/name_f] personally! It’s such a gorgeous name and it has flair, grace and elegance! What do you think of the spelling variation I suggested? And what middle name would you use for this name?
On my top list I have [name_f]Vada[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]!
I really like [name_f]Mae[/name_f] for a middle name. It’s my husband’s grandma’s middle name, and he really wants to incorporate that name into our baby’s name somehow.
I have been thinking of using the variation [name_f]Vada[/name_f], but I actually read it like Vah-da.
I like it spelled, [name_f]Veda[/name_f] and pronounced just like you mentioned. [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] that name. [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter might have been a [name_f]Veda[/name_f] if my hubs had not hated it
A dear friend of mine was named [name_f]Veda[/name_f] so I only have the warmest associations. She did pronounce it Vee-da. Simple and classy and a little bit mysterious. I think either pronunciation will need clarification, it’s just one of those names.
I really don’t like it, it’s too Darth Vader with a [name_m]Boston[/name_m] accent
Oh [name_f]Veda[/name_f]. I love it, I love the [name_f]My[/name_f] Girl reference. But every time it comes up on nameberry, the haters come out. If you pronounce Darth Vader correctly, it is a very different name. So unless you live in [name_m]Boston[/name_m], I say use it! It’s super sweet and ages well.
I like the name, but with the [name_f]Vada[/name_f] spelling. It definitely reminds me of The movie [name_f]My[/name_f] Girl.
