I just discovered this message board, but I still wanted to announce my daughter’s birth!
She was born [name_f]September[/name_f] 16th, 2013. She was six and a half weeks early (original due date [name_f]October[/name_f] 26th) weighing in at a whopping 4 lbs 6.8 ounces (4 lbs 1 ounces at her lowest).
[name_f]Ellsie[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]. My little lovie who just NOW at 13 weeks looks like a newborn, but is already rolling, scooting, and sitting up by herself (for five seconds). I couldn’t be more blessed.

Congratulations. But that’s weird. I remember another member saying they were going to name their daughter [name_f]Ellsie[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]. Did you used to post under another name?
[name_f]September[/name_f] 16 to [name_f]October[/name_f] 25 is not 6 1/2 weeks. It’s 2 days shy of 6 weeks.
Anyways, I will use my bull**** card on this one because no full term 13 weeks old baby will be scooting around and sitting up by themselves, let alone one that was born 6 weeks early (so she’d be 7 weeks adjusted).
Yes! Sorry for confusion, for some reason I could bot log into my other name. I even tried changing my password to no avail so I just made a new log in and have had zero issues since.
Believe what you like. When I say “scoot” I mean she scoots on her belly with her feet. mainly when we hold her. And she sits by herself for no longer than five seconds. I’m amazed by her every day and I’m thankful I’m around to see her grow up. This is one of the main reasons I never post to the site. I became a member for my love of names not to defend myself or my daughter.

I only wanted to announce her birth since I’m a proud first time mommy. I dudn’t anticipate a wave of backlash and name calling for something that “just can’t be true because she’s a preemie.” That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I am so proud of my baby.
