Veri come instinctive. [name_f]Rita[/name_f] and [name_f]Ver[/name_f] also come naturally to me. Other ones I thought of: Rit, Rity, Vee, [name_f]Ree[/name_f], [name_f]Eri[/name_f]

The [name_f]Verity[/name_f] I know never really got a nickname from her name. They all sounded too outlandish and contrived for her. Because we’re Australian though, friends sometimes call her “Vez”.

I’ve known two irl, one was [name_f]Verity[/name_f] or Vee and the other was known as Veg or Veggie :grimacing: probably didn’t help that she was red haired :carrot:

I think the most obvious nickname would be Veri. Because it sounds a lot like the word very, I would change the pronunciation and probably spelling to Vari. Verity….Vari

This seems so obvious to me, because I know a girl with this name. In her case it is short for the Russian variation of the name [name_f]Barbara[/name_f], which I don’t know exactly.
