Out of curiosity, I’m just wondering what vibes / aesthetic you get from [name_f]Tess[/name_f]?
Also, one thing holding me back from fully loving it is that I see names in color and [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is green which is a color I don’t particularly like.
Does anyone else get this green imagery from [name_f]Tess[/name_f], or is it just me? I’d love to know what you guys see regarding [name_f]Tess[/name_f] so I can fix my imagery of it
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] gives me two sorts of imagery:
shades of blue and grey, desolate but sublime landscapes, rainy days and rugged scenes - like being in touch with the wilder side of nature?
shades of gold, red, orange and pink - harvest, campfires, warmth (but not summery warmth??), chunky, crocheted knits - a colourfulness, but not garish
I feel like the latter is the one that stand out to me more, but the first is there too. Sorry if this only confuses things
Yes, [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is totally green to me! I actually have a dress which is very much like the imagery I have for [name_f]Tess[/name_f], see photo below. [name_m]Add[/name_m] doc marten boots and tousled hair ambling through a meadow and you are there!!
Quick [name_f]Tess[/name_f] aesthetic. Yes, she’s rambling in the fields like a cottagecore princess, but she’s on her way home from kickboxing and when she gets home she’s writing an essay for college about smashing the patriarchy. [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is feisty!
I guess I have a pretty different vibe from [name_f]Tess[/name_f], as most people here (including you, i know) see her is shades of muted blue and green- while for me she is bright orange.
I get imagery of summer- sundresses, freckles, flip-flops, sun-bleached hair, bright flowers, orange juice and lemonade, checkered picnic blankets, sunflowers, popsicles, and soft beach sand. I picture a [name_f]Tess[/name_f] to be fun-loving and vibrant, funny, sweet, energetic, and bouncy! She has a citrus sharpness to her too- like the smell you get when you peel and orange, and her texture is kind of like an orange rind as well!
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] to me is absolutely lavender colored! Despite the calm coloring I also see her as a spunky and vivacious name like many previous posters. [name_f]Tess[/name_f] also gives the vibe of a bit alternative or punk, but I’m not sure where that association comes from! I could easily see [name_f]Tess[/name_f] as anyone.
I get it–Tess is green for me, too. The difference is, I like green. [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] is ALSO green for me, though, and aren’t you the one who loves [name_f]Jillian[/name_f]?
I apologize if you’re not the one, but I think you were mentioning having a Jillian/Jill, Katherine/Kate, Teresa/Tess sibset, potentially. And I think all of those names are fabulous and love them all together, except [name_f]Teresa[/name_f]. I don’t know why I don’t love it. I know it’s technically a classic, but it just has a completely different feel for me.
So, in review–Tess is gorgeous, timeless, awesome, cool. [name_f]Teresa[/name_f], if you’re the person I’m thinking of who is interested in that information–feels dated and “old” and not like a cool girl or a little black dress name.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] of the D’urbevilles springs to mind. So it reminds me of a tragic literary character, but not in a bad way. I imagine someone called [name_f]Tess[/name_f] as gentle, caring and beautiful. Soft, pastel feminine vibes.
For me, [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is light, summery blue. It reminds me of an old-fashion summer picnic. I personally like the name [name_f]Tess[/name_f], but depends on the character of course.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
I love [name_f]Tess[/name_f]! She feels so earthy and sweet to me, brings to mind a little girl with light brown tresses planting flowers in the dirt with her mama, exploring the woods and reading dusty books in big libraries. Stretching her feet to reach the pedals as she methodically practices her piano song with her eyes squished up and biting her little tongue in determination. Beaming with pride and satisfaction when her solo goes well. Finger painting at the kitchen table singing songs with mama while she bakes. Dancing on long walks in the forest between mama and daddy, the sunlight streaming through the trees. She is filled with wonder and adventure and beauty and her soul creates magic wherever she goes. She’s the kind of person that everyone feels drawn to. And she’s not afraid to get dirty and loves caring for those around her. The flowers. [name_u]Baby[/name_u] moo cows. [name_u]Baby[/name_u] sister. Grammy. A stranger crying. And literally everything else.
For me she is brown, which I should hate because I don’t find brown very appealing in general, but her heart is so lovely that that far outweighs brown’s boringness haha!
I wish I saw [name_f]Tess[/name_f] as a pale spring green; I actually love green lol. Unfortunately I’ve found that other opinions’ of how their synesthesia colors names doesn’t do much to change mine, but if you’re a big fan of Tess… I hope this helps lol!
I get vintage vibes with an outdoorsy ruggedness. Meadows, heather, simple cotton dresses with wellies or leather boots, soft knits, hair blowing in the wind. Colours I get are mauve and yes, green, but a very specific shade of muted sage green.
