Vibes for the name Holt

[name_m]Just[/name_m] found out we’re having a baby boy!

One of the names both my husband and I like is the name [name_m]Holt[/name_m]. I love the meaning, and we both love that it’s really uncommon but still feels a little familiar.

But I have one hesitation. I worry that the sound of the name gives off certain vibes that don’t mesh with the other names I like. I don’t want to say what those vibes are, since I’m not totally certain, and I don’t want to skew or influence people’s initial, genuine reaction.

So, what vibes does the name [name_m]Holt[/name_m] give you? (And if you know the meaning, please try to not let that influence your opinion! I’m really looking for just what it sounds like or feels like to you.)

i could see it on a handsome southern gentleman as well, however. i think it’s quite versatile! :horse:

[name_m]Holt[/name_m] is very outdoorsy and sweet. Flannels and boots, chopping firewood, hiking boots by the front door, a dog by your feet, reading a book under a handwoven blanket on a chilly morning, making a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies, or perhaps a cinnamon-y apple pie

Yeah, it gives Midwest/west vibes to me (probably because I grew up going to school with a family with [name_m]Holt[/name_m] as a last name).

I don’t think it’s totally unusable as a fist name though. Very country/flannel/farm to me.

Huge congratulations!

Firstly Holt’s meaning is beyond gorgeous I wasn’t even aware of [name_m]Holt[/name_m] meaning that. [name_u]Truly[/name_u] gorgeous meaning.

For me [name_m]Holt[/name_m] is cowboy cool, rugged, bold, maybe a little ‘dangerous’ and earthy.

[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought is of [name_m]Steve[/name_m] [name_m]Holt[/name_m] from Arrested Development. Any fan knows what I mean
