Vibes from Stella?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!!
I’m absolutely in love with the name [name_f]Stella[/name_f]: it’s just gorgeous, vintage, classy, mature, feminine, and can’t be nicknamed!
I just wanted to see what vibes you all got from the name?
I very much get Old Hollywood vibes from it, jazz, [name_f]Grace[/name_f] Kelly/Audrey Hepburn, red lipstick, elegance, sapphires, going to the opera, pearls, and overall vintage classic vibes. It matches my style so well, and honestly, feels just perfect.
What do you guys think of [name_f]Stella[/name_f]?
What would you imagine a [name_f]Stella[/name_f] to be like?

Thank you!

I like [name_f]Stella[/name_f]! It’s not a personal favourite but it’s a fun & pretty name!

I get very y2k vibes, the colours pink & purple, bright lights on the dance floor, glow-in-the-dark stars stuck to the ceiling, space & aliens & shopping trips to the mall and pink bubblegum.

I think [name_f]Stella[/name_f] is a beautiful name!

To me, it sounds starry, dreamy, and classical… like a night-sky studded with bright constellations.

(P.S. You mentioned that it can’t be nicknamed, but actually it can be shortened to Stell / Stel… which I think is a cute nn!)

Modern, young, and spunky. A girl who’s gregarious and the life of the event. Very intelligent and friendly and people gravitate towards her. A leader.

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] is lovely - bright, warm, starry and friendly too.
I get imagery of old books, tote bags, funky socks, gold jewellery and piano keys

I can definitely see your imagery fitting well. For me I kind of have dueling images. On the one hand there’s sweeping starry skies, a little bit of witchy magic but also a little sweet and girly. [name_u]Dark[/name_u] raspberry pink, purple, black, gold. On the other, there’s the character from The Winx Club tv show (my first introduction to the name) which is sunshine (cuz she’s a sun fairy), yellow/lime green/orange, textbook definition of an extrovert. The overlap is feminine, celestial, magical, golden light.

Yes- but not constantly, which is what I’m looking at for nicknames. Sure, something like [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] may get shortened to Sair occasionally in casual conversation, Sarah’s generally don’t introduce themselves as Sair, or get introduced as Sair, or go exclusively by Sair, and that’s the same as [name_f]Stella[/name_f] with Stel. I’m more referring to names that don’t get shortened immediately, and it’s not something people think they automatically have the right to call you - aka, names along the lines of [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] “Chris” which are typically shortened.
Stel isn’t too bad though :joy:

I really like that, thank you!

[name_m]Ah[/name_m] yes, I see what you mean! That makes sense!

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] is super spunky to me. I get more rock and roll vibes. [name_u]Or[/name_u], like, a very bold and brave little girl who loves to run around outdoors.

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though it is the name of my cat, who is very dainty and demure and sweet

[name_f]My[/name_f] immediate first thought is A Streetcar Named [name_u]Desire[/name_u] and the yelling “STELLLLAAAAA” not necessarily a good or bad vibe or anything just my association. It also brings to mind [name_f]Stellaluna[/name_f], the children’s book about the bat, so nighttime vibes fit with that image

I agree with you on the vintage, classic, and mature vibe you provided (though the little toddler [name_f]Stella[/name_f] i know is called Stelly belly which is maybe less dignified)

But overall vibe is a rich plum color with a classic feel and maybe 1920s flair

stella to me gives off spunky, cute, dark pink and purple vibes. i actually know a stella, and it suits her quite well.

I get this imagery from [name_f]Stella[/name_f] too!!
