Hair kinda frizzy or curly or around the face or tied up messily, out exploring the garden or the woods, down-to-earth but cheerful, maybe arty and messy paint.

I think it’s quite a streamlined, tailored, no-nonsense name so that’s what I envision. Someone capable, in control, adept. One of those impressive people who are not only very academically able but also very practical.

A spunky kind of name, I would expect all people with this name to have a strong/fierce personality.
2/3 of the people named [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] I know have been quite unpleasant so that taints the name for me a bit.
In terms of appearance, they have all had brown curly hair!
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is colorful, friendly and artistic.
She wears bows in her hair, hangs flowers on her wall to dry, visits art museums on the weekends and buys her produce at the farmer’s market 
I ADORE [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]! [name_m]Charming[/name_m] and feminine but in control, comfortable, capable. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband shot this name down when we discussed baby girl names and I’m still heartbroken 
I accidentally posted about this name in an old/outdated post recently, but I will copy my thoughts here (full disclosure: our eldest daughter is named [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], so I love it)! The name doesn’t get discussed often, so I’m always excited when it comes up!
Our [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is a very creative strawberry blonde, who loves ballet, art, and the outdoors, so when I hear the name that’s how I see it 
To me, [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is such an underused classic: pretty, and strong all at once. It also has some wonderful namesakes, both literary and real. It seems to me that it carries an artistic, bohemian vibe—perhaps because of my association with Hardy’s [name_f]Tess[/name_f] of the D’Urbervilles? There are also quite a few Tessas in the arts/literature world—Tessa [name_m]Dahl[/name_m] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], for example; [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] DuMaurier had a [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] too! The arts connections were a big reason we chose it.
