Have been compiling a list of potential future baby names and have narrowed it down to these, for two sisters;
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Althea[/name_f]
These were chosen as I am very much a fan of Victorian names and these seemed fitting as both begin with the letter ‘A’. The full names would be [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with the surname [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]. Other contenders were [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f], but I would definitely rather them both be 'A’s. Thoughts and opinions greatly appreciated.
I think they are very pretty. [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] would be other great combinations if you were to have more
[name_m]Just[/name_m] thought I’d add: alliteration in families seem sweet until you have to label daycare/school things, your kids are sent homework and forms and letters etc. I know so many people who regret the alliteration just for practical reasons!
I love both names but don’t like them together. They can both be nicknamed to [name_f]Alli[/name_f] and even if you never intend to call either of them that I’m a big believer that once you give a name to your child it’s theirs to do what they want with. So I won’t give siblings names that can share a nickname because if one decides to use that nickname it kind of takes away part of the other sibling’s name. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] decides at 8 years old to go by [name_f]Alli[/name_f] then someone calls [name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Alli[/name_f] and she has to say oh please don’t call me that, that’s my sister’s name… I definitely over think names but to me that could be an identity issue.
