Helena
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - flips between Victorian and 1950ās in my mind
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] - I donāt know what about this throws me off. Itās nice enough, but I do prefer [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - too frilly for my personal taste
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] - donāt really know why I donāt care for this. I like the very similar [name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - too long and frilly for my taste. also just not a fan of the sound in general
Rosalie ā Number one for me, hands down! Iām not a fan of [name_f]Rosa[/name_f], but [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is stunning!
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] ā [name_u]Love[/name_u] this, too, but not quite as much as [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] / [name_f]Helena[/name_f] / [name_f]Florence[/name_f] ā [name_m]Can[/name_m]āt really separate these three. Theyāre all good, solid names.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] ā [name_m]Just[/name_m] not a big fan of the āangā sound, but would love to see it on a little girl.
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] ā Too popular, a little basic, and just not as special as the others.
Beautiful choices! I particularly love [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. Theyāre just so elegant! Our daughter is [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and one thing I hadnāt considered is that people initially think weāre saying ā[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]ā when we introduce her. As such, we end up saying ā[name_f]Florence[/name_f], like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Nightingale[/name_u]ā. I love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] too, but would shy away from popular nicknames (i.e. [name_f]Eva[/name_f]) and consider ā[name_f]Lena[/name_f]ā instead.
Oh I love all these names so I canāt rank them.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] - a little popular but so pretty and timeless
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - I LOVE [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Helena[/name_f] but I donāt like [name_f]Helen[/name_f]. I donāt think I could use this one in real life but I love if others do
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] - a little popular for my taste
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - I have loved this name since I was little!
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]- I adore [name_f]Alice[/name_f] !!!
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - this one ticks all my boxes in theory but I couldnāt use it if it came down to real life. I love [name_u]Evan[/name_u] for a girl ! And my boys names all have that biblical feel but there is just something that stops my heart from really considering it as a useable contender
Rosa just feels a bit dated for me, and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is super popular and overused. I donāt dislike any of them though, Iām just not personally the biggest fan. You have a beautiful list!!
LOVE [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] & [name_f]Ava[/name_f] I only dislike [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] because I know one who was horrible towards me, and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], because a girl Iām not too fond of used it for her daughter after the [name_u]Twilight[/name_u] character, and now thatās all I can think of
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]-This is so pretty. It has a kind, gentle, smart & classy vibe. I can also see [name_f]Alice[/name_f] being playful too. Itās simple & vintage. Getting kind of popular in my area, honestly. It doesnāt really have any good nns, but that may not be an issue for you.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]-This is another beautiful simple classic. Itās smart, sweet & classy just like [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. I just like the soft sound of [name_f]Alice[/name_f] slightly more. This is about equally as popular, I would think. I hear [name_f]Alice[/name_f] more personally.
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]/Rosalie-If this were just [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], itād be my #1. I donāt like [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] as much for some reason. I think that it sounds too serious. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is light & cheerful, but still elegant & classic.
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]-This is super popular, but I still like it. It has a cute flapper girl feel. Classy & sassy.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]-I canāt get into this one, but itās not bad. [name_m]Just[/name_m] sounds a little stuffy. I really like [name_f]Flora[/name_f].
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]-Meh, this isnāt my cup of tea. Plus, the fact that it has two pronunciations would get annoying. I do love the possibility of the nn [name_f]Nellie[/name_f].
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]-I donāt care for this name at all. Not sure why . I guess it just sounds too evangelistic.
Ooh I love Victorian names so this is hard!
in order of favourite to least favourite:
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - one of my favourite names ever, although way too popular in the UK for me to use but I love the nnās [name_f]Florrie[/name_f], and [name_f]Flossie[/name_f]!!
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Clara[/name_f], it has such a beautiful meaning and is subtly vintage but has the charm of more modern names too.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - Very sweet name and love the range of nn options!!
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - so simple and classic, i love it but probably more for a middle name spot.
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] - I really like [name_f]Helena[/name_f], It feels more grown up than [name_f]Elena[/name_f] or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] but could still work nicely with nicknames āelleā or ānellā which are very sweet.
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]/Rosalie - I like [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] a lot but iām not a massive fan of [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] it reminds me of ārosy leeā which is a slang term for a cup of tea and that puts me off Also I canāt help but think of the [name_u]Twilight[/name_u] character.
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] - I donāt dislike [name_f]Ava[/name_f], I know a few and I think the name is pretty but I just think itās overrated and has sort of had its time. I much prefer [name_f]Ada[/name_f] which I think has more vintage charm.
