I was looking at an old notes app and found a list of names I’d added the -vieve suffix to, as in [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]. They all look horrible, but I like how they sound!
I played around with changing some of the spellings, trying viv, veav, vive and viev for the ‘veev’ sound. None of them look great IMO but here are some spellings I stuck with as the best of a few bad options:
the vieve suffix is so pretty !! this is my favourite spelling in every case
in several of these, i’d change the spelling of the prefix name slightly. due example, elsavieve is pretty but elsevieve is gorgeous. same with rosevieve instead of rosavieve !! i’d be tempted to pronounce rosevieve like rose-vee-ev à la the french pronunciation of geneviève
i really like elsavieve, stellavieve, rosavieve, and lulavieve !!
i might make ennevieve, maravieve, coravieve, ellevieve, adavieve, floravieve, aurevieve, noravieve, claravieve, isavieve and nellevieve
aurembiaix stellavieve, hero lulavieve, nolwenn elsevieve or hecate rosavieve <3
I like Elsavieve and Rosavieve! I would pair Elsavieve with [name_f]Roos[/name_f] or [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]: [name_f]Roos[/name_f] Elsavieve / Elsavieve [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]. I pronounce vieve as vee-vuh.
Some ideas:
Claravieve
Ellevieve
Marivieve
Starting with Vieve could also be tried:
Vievelynn
Vievenoor
Vieverose
Kind of obsessed with Rosaviv! I’m also drawn to Quinnavieve but my brain kinda tries to autocorrect it to [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]. Quillavieve and Willavieve have great potential as extravagant middle names.
Elsavieve is my favourite of your creations. I also think Rosavieve, Lulavieve and Stellavieve have a nice sound. Like @rosepip I’d change the spelling in some cases by swapping the last ‘a’ for an ‘e’ or ‘i’ where it makes a more cohesive look.
Some I haven’t seen mentioned:
Remivieve
Casivieve
Altavieve
Saravieve
Josevieve
Cleovieve
Correcting my tagging error above @snowmaiden. [name_u]Hazel[/name_u], please see above appreciation for Ellevieve I clearly need more coffee this morning.
