I’m 99% sure this came up as a name the other day in a thread but Im on my phone and cant find it. I’ve been talking to some friends at dinner and mentioned that someone used it as a baby name but no one believes me. I did not imagine this right?
I didn’t see it, but I’ll take a look. I sincerely hope it wasn’t considered by someone, I’m not sure if its legit or not but all I see is vinegerette!
All my husband can think of is stamps and car/road taxes which is silly because Im pretty it would be for films or stories.
There’s a British actress called [name]Vinette[/name] [name]Robinson[/name] so the name just seems like an alternative spelling of that to me (with a silent ‘g’). It’s not the most appealing of names out there, and I definitely prefer it without the ‘g’, but I do think it is a legit name.
Edited for privacy.
@essjay vignette always has a silent G (think filet mignon), it is not another version of [name]Vinette[/name] and Im 99.9% sure it is not a legit name (if someone can find that it is then I will admit I’m wrong). Here is a wiki link to all the definitions of a vignette Vignette - Wikipedia, I’m sure the parents were unaware of all the things the word is used for.
@saracita00: thanks, I knew I wasn’t crazy!
