[name]Vince[/name] [name]Vaughn[/name] with his wife [name]Kyla[/name] [name]Weber[/name] giving birth to a healthy baby girl on [name]Saturday[/name] morning, Dec. 18
[name]Vince[/name] and [name]Kyla[/name] names their new daughter [name]Locklyn[/name] [name]Kyla[/name] Vauhgn.
It”s a first child for both [name]Vaughn[/name], 40, and [name]Weber[/name], a Canadian real estate agent, who married in [name]January[/name] 2010.
So many people think that by changing the spelling of a male name (eg.[name]Lachlan[/name]) to [name]Locklyn[/name] somehow “feminizes” it. This trend drives me crazy. [name]Locklyn[/name] just looks misspelled. [name]Locklyn[/name] [name]Kyla[/name] has too many “y”'s in it and looks made up. I’m not impressed.
I enjoy [name]Locklyn[/name] as a girls name. My only downfall for this name is the “y” and "l"s everywhere. [name]Locklyn[/name] [name]Kyla[/name]. Its just too much, it also doesnt flow well.
something like…
[name]Locklyn[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name]
[name]Locklyn[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
Its horrible for a number of reasons. As many other people have said there are way too many L’s & Y’s and its a misspelled boys’ name. Also, it has the word [name]LOCK[/name] in it which bothers me immensely.
I like the name, even for a girl, but I think the spelling could use some work. I think the letter “y” is being really overused lately. It seems some people stick it in place of all other vowels.
Can’t say I like it at all. I don’t like the spelling - even [name]Lachlan[/name] would have been better. Also not a fan of parents naming their children for themselves.
