Violet and Dahlia

hey :).

as a sib set

Thanks!!

I don’t find it a subtle flower name, so it sounds too flowery to me.

Gotcha. Yeah. I used to not even know it was a flower name so it sounded fine to me. But I see what u mean. It might just be too flowery.

I actually see it as a subtle flower name. I knew it first as a name then a flower so to me I didn’t even realize [name]Dahlia[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] were both flowery at first. I think they are both pretty names. Though if you were going to go with this sibset, would you continue this theme with future children?

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] are so pretty together! I think it works nicely!

I don’t think it has the cheese factor, they go very nicely together. I don’t think of black dahlia whatsoever. I think of the [name]Dahlia[/name] I knewonce, her name was spelled [name]Dalya[/name] though. She was the sweetest little girl you could meet, so this name just sounds so sweet to me

I like the flower theme, I think it is pretty without being cheezy because they are both more uncommon flower names as opposed to [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] etc. And the middle names [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] match really nicely together too!

I don’t mind a flower theme and [name]Dahlia[/name] isn’t overly “floral” to me (even though it is…lol). [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Dahlia[/name] are really nice together.

[name]Dahlia[/name] sounds very flowery to me–just as much as [name]Lily[/name], [name]Rose[/name], or [name]Daisy[/name]. I guess the way that you hear this name depends a lot on your botanical frame of reference.

What about using a similar alternative like [name]Delilah[/name] or [name]Delia[/name] to avoid the flower issue?

I think they sound lovely together, the floral theme does not bother me. Use the names you love!
