Violet for Violet?

Not sure if this is the proper forum for this post, but my friend is having a mini nesting crisis. Her and her husband are expecting their first in three weeks and plan on naming her [name_f]Violet[/name_f]; but previously before choosing the name, they painted the nursery a light purple. Now they’re unsure whether to repaint or not, and wish to decide soon so that their daughter isn’t brought home to the paint fumes.

Is the colour violet appropriate for a baby named [name_f]Violet[/name_f]? Or should they repaint?

I don’t think it matters what the colour of the nursery is. It’s just a bedroom, in the end. Besides, paint is expensive, so repainting for such a silly reason is just, well, silly.

It’s totally fine!
They have nothing to do with each other…her name is beautiful & I’m sure her room is too!

They don’t have to repaint if they don’t want to.

I would keep the paint. I think it’s sweet.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with keeping the color as violet. It’s sweet!
