So DH and I have finally found a name we both for love for our 2nd daughter. We both feel 100 percent sure about this name and neither of us feel like we are settling. I’m super excited. I just wish we would have thought of it 4 months ago and saved ourselves a lot of drama.
So this baby will be [name]Violet[/name]. Her big sister is [name]Eden[/name] [name]Kay[/name]. I don’t know if we should go with a short middle name like we did with [name]Eden[/name]. [name]Kay[/name] was to honor my grandmother. We don’t really have a family name in mind this time. Last name is [name]Henderson[/name].
I would love to hear your middle name suggestions. Thanks!
[name]Hi[/name]! I would go short for [name]Violet[/name]'s MN, as [name]Violet[/name] has 3 syllables, plus you can continue your pattern. I love for MNs to have some meaning, so some info would be great – what sort of things do you & hubby have in common that you like? Books? Sports? Movies? Being outdoors? Childhood memories? Etc.
I like [name]Violet[/name] [name]Kate[/name] but my name is [name]Katherine[/name] and I go by [name]Katie[/name]. With DD’s middle name being [name]Kay[/name] too, I’m not sure if it is too close?
One more I thought of was using my great grandmother’s name.
I’m for [name]Violet[/name] [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Violet[/name] [name]Frances[/name]. Really beautiful.
I’d maybe steer clear of putting a name in the middle that is also a common noun (eve, rose, bliss, etc.). To me, the adjective/noun pairing has the potential to sound a little . . . stripper-ish. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Thanks for all the suggestions. We are leaning towards [name]Violet[/name] [name]Frances[/name]. I’m almost afraid to finalize anything since we’ve changed our mind so many times!
I second (third? fourth?) the vote for [name]Violet[/name] [name]Frances[/name] – its beautiful. I also really like [name]Violet[/name] [name]Jane[/name], that’s just so so cute.
