My favorites from your names are [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]. I really love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] together. I feel like they are both sweet, but spunky names. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is on my list for future baby number #2 and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is on my list for a middle name (a family member has it as a first so I won’t use it as a first unfortunately). I find [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]/[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] hard to say together for some reason.

I especially love [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] with [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. The former pairing feels more spunky and spirited; the latter feels sweeter, softer and impeccably vintage.

Personally, I prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] but the rest of your list suggests that your style is sweeter and more feminine than mine, in which case [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] seems to fit perfectly.

A vote for [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]/[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Cait[/name_f]!

I absolutely adore [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] as a first: It’s classic, elegant, and sophisticated, yet also feels bright and spunky. The combination [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Cait[/name_f] is absolutely striking, and would be my pick.

Thanks everyone.

Funnily enough, @katinka my husband and I are very torn with [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] as thinks [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] fits our typical style better.

I personally favour [name_f]Florence[/name_f] I think… all beautiful choices, I just feel [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_f]Florence[/name_f] would really strike me. Vintage and sophisticated yet pretty and both have really lovely visual connotations to me

I would tend to agree, but it’s the sort of thing no one in “real life” will notice or question. Both fit your vintage vibe well, it’s just that [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] has a touch more sweetness and feels more traditional/timeless, since it’s always been more well-used than [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. But the difference is subtle in the grand scheme of things, so you should go with whichever you prefer.

I agree, it is a subtle difference. I love both but do favour [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] where as my husband favours [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. He did say he’s happy with [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] if we use either as a middle name though as it’s that tiny bit shorter. I think it’s only fair I do the same and say I’m happy for it to be [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] if we use either for her first lol.

Thanks everyone, It’s now between Beatrice, Beatrix, Florence, Josephine & Mabel.

As much as we love the others, we have had Theodore at the top of our list for a boy with each pregnancy. If we do have another and it’s a girl then we will probably use one of them but for now, we want to keep Theodore saved.
