Pretty, but it’s also an adjective/noun combo, which makes it sound a bit like a title of something.
I agree with the previous poster, it does sound like a title. What about [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f]? You can still call her [name_f]Violet[/name_f] but her name won’t be so “wordy.”
While I normally don’t like two word names together, I think it works wonderfully here. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is a gorgeous classic that is very current, and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] has a modern, breezy vibe.
Sounds very pretty to me but when I see the spelling my brain automatically thinks violent summer. I think [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] would be pretty as well without the “violent” connection. But I still think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is pretty regardless!
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] sounds like a coming of age indie film with a female protagonist, a purple color grade, and a lot scenes shot in fields during sunset. Anyway, though… who knows the middle names of most people they meet? Nobody. Seems fine. Very prone to conjure imagery to those who know the full name, though, as seen in the comments above (and probably below).
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] sounds more poetic and ‘useable’ in my mind.
It is wordy but both are established names so I think it works. I like it, though I love pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Viola[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f]
I like it. And I disagree with pps in that I much prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f] over [name_f]Violette[/name_f], [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] and [name_f]Viola[/name_f]. It’s great to see something other than the ubiquitous [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]May[/name_f]/[name_f]Grace[/name_f] in the middle. Two word names are not ideal, but this sounds good and I do love both names.
Wow. I’m pleasantly surprised. This noun name combination might be one of those that works! I really like it! [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] has a sweet likability to it that makes you smile and easily overlook the noun combination. Cute!
thanks everyone! xxx
At first I thought too wordy, but I really love the image I’m getting from it–reminds me of hazy summer sunsets when I was a kid.
