Violet vs Clementine vs Marlowe

Hey girls,

Any thoughts on the names [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] or [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]? Would love to hear some feedback including middle names if you can. I already have a [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. Thank you

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] would make a perfect pair. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is too unisex to match such a feminine name, and the popularity gap between [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is too extreme. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] would make a lovely combination, however.

Lol that’s my number one choice and combo but I’m trying to see if other pple have better suggestions that I haven’t thought of  thanks for replying!

Also I regret how popular [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is and was thinking I should name something that I don’t hear often…would [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] work like those singing sisters named [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]?

I would drop [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] first and find it difficult to pick between the other two! [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] feels less classic.

I like these combinations: [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Clementina[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Valeska[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] are a beautiful sibset. I agree that [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] are too far apart and [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] (although it is a gp of mine) isn’t classic and feminine enough for the quite girly [name_f]Sophie[/name_f].

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is perfect, to be honest. Especially with big sister [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]!

Other middles:
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] Tuscany
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Bree[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] the best with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f].
I think the difference with [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] (I love them btw!) is that while [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is somewhat a classic it is more nickname, while [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is a bit more elegant.
Elegant + unisex doesn’t work as well.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] would actually be amazing with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]!

I was just thinking about the name [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] today. I do like it, and think it’s a very sweet name. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]? But, I pretty much agree with the others in that I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] the best.

If you want something less popular, [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] are wonderful, and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is a much-talked about but less-used alternative. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is exceptionally popular, and [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] doesn’t really fit in with the feminine [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], and is one of those celeb/trendy names.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - I like this name a lot
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - I like this as well
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] - not so much, reminds me of [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]

I love the name [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and so I am slightly biased. Other names that jumped into my head were [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] which both sound great as a sibset.
Here are some suggestions: (the fn and mn can be switched around)
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_u]Artemis[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helped!

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is one of my most cherished names, but I agree that [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] make a lovely pair.

I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is definitely the best with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name to boot. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] comes second - I like it, but it doesn’t go with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] as well.

I will go down kicking and screaming about [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. I know it’s a favorite on here but it just so country bumpkin to me, and I don’t know how an adult named [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] could be taken seriously.

Good luck!

Sorry, [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] rocks – and makes my heart beat faster.

But here, if the goal is the perfect sib set, [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is the winner. I agree with just about everyone – [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is in a whole different family than [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. It works in the middle, if you love it and can’t let go. I also – and almost equally – like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. I don’t think sisters compare name popularity, although I could be wrong. So – [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. Posters had suggested such great middles, I can’t think of better.

I really like [name_f]Violet[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] & [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are very sweet together.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is all right… I really like it in [name_m]French[/name_m], but not so much in English. [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] is very lacklustre for me.

I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] the best with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. It does remind me a little bit of the Affleck children [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] though.

Lol did I mention that my sons name is [name_m]Ben[/name_m]?

Thank you guys so much! Loved all your suggestions. Now I can show this to my husband and let him know the world agrees it shod be [name_f]Violet[/name_f] u guys are awesome.
