Virtue names for boys?

I’m not a huge fan of virtue names for girls but for some reason it seems appealing for a boy. However, I can’t seem to find any that sound like actual names. What do you guys think? Any good ones come to mind?

[name]Valor[/name] would be cool. I like [name]Justice[/name] but spelled [name]Justus[/name]. It’s a surname and Bible name. [name]True[/name] is a very cool name. Truett or [name]Truman[/name] are also super awesome. [name]Pax[/name] is the Latin word for peace which is a virtue.

Best of luck!

I used to have [name]Prosper[/name] on my list. (I was inspired by the character from [name]Lord[/name] of the Thieves)

[name]Victor[/name] is as name-y as any name I can think of.

Revere works.

The others I can think of that are cool at least in theory are a bit more out there.

I’ve looked around online and found these:
[name]Justice[/name]
Merit
[name]Worth[/name]
[name]Earnest[/name]
[name]Sterling[/name]
[name]Loyal[/name]
[name]True[/name]
Nobel
Moral
Reliance
[name]Valor[/name]
[name]Victor[/name]

[name]Victor[/name] & [name]Earnest[/name] would definitely the the best “name” names. I like [name]True[/name] but more for girls. I’ve read [name]Felix[/name] a few times as a virtue name but idk if it passes the test.

I’ve heard [name]Able[/name] before, sounds exactly the same as [name]Abel[/name] and so diffinitly sounds like a name so you might like it.

[name]Felix[/name] should count since [name]Felicity[/name] does, I would think?

Though I guess that prompts the question of where names like [name]Solomon[/name] (which mean peace) fit in.

Solace would fit, I would think. But is it name-y?

[name]Concord[/name] and [name]Valor[/name] haven’t been mentioned. I do love Merit.

[name]Clement[/name] is related to a virtue name since it means clemency.

I love all the above mentioned. Very clever… I especially love [name]Justice[/name]. I don’t know if these are virtues but maybe more word names.

[name]Pius[/name]
[name]Freedom[/name]
Wise/[name]Wisdom[/name]
[name]Honor[/name]
Pride
Revere

My husband thinks we should name our son Gentle.

[name]Victor[/name] isn’t really a virtue name, is it? Or [name]Felix[/name] really? These have clear positive meanings but are not actual virtues.

[name]Clement[/name] counts though. And I do know of someone named [name]Constant[/name], though I am not sure I find it usable in the US.

According to Nameberry, [name]Brian[/name] means “strong, virtuous, powerful”. There may be other options along that line, but I don’t know if that’s what you mean by a virtue name.
