I don’t totally know what makes names visually appealing to me or not but there are a few trends I’ve noticed, like names ending in -lde/de
Like
[name_f]Clothilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Hildegarde[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Corisande[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f]
[name_f]Isolde[/name_f]
[name_f]Swanhilde[/name_f]

I like a lot of -d ending and -ine names as well.

I love the look of many Greek names, particularly long names ending in -e like
[name_f]Mnemosyne[/name_f]
[name_f]Eurydice[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Anemone[/name_f]

And I can’t deny I love the letter X
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_m]Calixto[/name_m]
[name_f]Aurembiaix[/name_f]
[name_f]Ximene[/name_f]
[name_f]Xiomara[/name_f]
[name_f]Eudoxia[/name_f] (I absolutely love how that one looks on paper but not how it’s sounds when said. :joy:)

And it probably stands to reason looking at [name_f]Eurydice[/name_f] and [name_f]Eudoxia[/name_f] that I find the look of Eu very appealing. (See also [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f], [name_f]Eugenia[/name_f]/Eugenie, [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f]/Eulalie, and [name_f]Eustacia[/name_f].

Other vowel clusters I like include ae, ie, ai, au, and ou.
And in general I love the look and sound of names with the letters O, D, V, ph, ch, and th.

I think you got it! Visually appealing just means that you think the name looks nice written down.

Persephone is the one that comes to mind first for me. I love the way it looks typed out and written down. The way the P’s look with the S and H, and all of the E’s is just beautiful to me (I feel the same way about Penelope and Phoebe and Guinevere too). I love names with a lot of E’s and an H or N. I think its because my own name is Helen (another that I think is visually stunning).

I also really like AE together in names, as well as names that start with RH (think very Game of Thrones esque names):

Rhea
Rhys
Rhyne
Rhyan
Rhett
Rhae
Rhaenys
Rhaena
Rhaella
Rhiannon
Rhianne
Rhythm
Rhydian
Rhaegar
Aerin
Aelin
Ishmael
Aegis
Aella
Aether
Mae / Kae / Fae / Jae / Dae / Tae
Shae
Astraea
Phaedra
Raelyn
Laelia
Daenerys
Danae
Israel
Gaea
Michaela
Linnaea
Raphaela / Raphael
Faelan / Faegan
Nevaeh
Jael / Yael
(I love the way these look even if I don’t like the actual name itself)

As for boys, Hezekiah takes the cake in that regard. Nehemiah and Jeremiah come close though.

Seraphina, [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] & [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]

For some reason these names all look so visually appealing to me. I just love them. They all feature on my endless list of baby names that I keep on my phone.

Ezekiel, [name_u]Rocco[/name_u], [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m], [name_u]Forest[/name_u] & [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]

Again I think these names are so visually appealing for boys. [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m], [name_u]Forest[/name_u] & [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] feature on my endless list but [name_u]Rocco[/name_u] & [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] do not still I find these names so visually appealing not sure why.

I also love seeing [name_f]Rose[/name_f] & [name_u]Noah[/name_u] but I think the only reason why I find them visually pleasing as they are my favourite names!

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]/Mathilde are extremely appealing visually to me. I don’t know what it is about them specifically but I just like the way they look. Same with [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], [name_f]Elinor[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], Ines, [name_u]Tempest[/name_u] and [name_f]Anouk[/name_f].
