Can [name]Vivi[/name] work on its own or is it only seen as a nickname? We have a 3 syllable last name.
I personally only see it as a nickname. It seems to cutesy for me to take seriously as a give name. Would you like suggestions of longer names?
It’s totally a nickname to me. I don’t take it seriously.
However, [name]Vivian[/name] nn [name]Vivi[/name]? That totally works.
I just see nn too. Sorry! It could be a nn for most V names tho!
i’m stuck with this too and am trying to make sure she has a nn derived from a “big girl name” if you will. that said, i love [name]Vivi[/name] (and vivian!)
I think it’s too nicknamey, sorry, but I like the suggestion of [name]Vivian[/name] for a full name.
Thanks ladies =)
I googled [name]Vivi[/name] with the mn I like and a published Dr. came up several times so I guess it works for her. I agree it does seem cutesy…while I like [name]Vivienne[/name] its mostly because I get [name]Vivi[/name] out of it.
I think if you feel it’s fine, then go for it.
Otherwise, here’s some more besides [name]Vivian[/name]:
[name]Viva[/name]
[name]Vivia[/name]
[name]Viviana[/name]
[name]Viviette[/name]
Viveca
I like it as a nickname for [name]Viviana[/name] or [name]Flavia[/name].
Or [name]Genevieve[/name]?
I am with you on this though, I love the names [name]Kiri[/name], [name]Miri[/name] and [name]Cy[/name] and like the full names less.
I agree that it’s way too cutesy as a FN. I love it as a nn for [name]Violet[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name], and [name]Vivienne[/name], though. Or even [name]Victoria[/name], [name]Viviette[/name], [name]Vienna[/name], or really any “V” name…
I would say nn only! [name]Vivienne[/name] would be a nice full name or even [name]Vivian[/name] (if you liked that spelling better).
