Its tough because I like both. I think I would choose [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. It seems more elegant & classy than [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] imo.

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. It just looks prettier and more feminine to me

[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. I pronounce them differently–[name_f]Viv[/name_f]-ee-uhn versus [name_f]Viv[/name_f]-ee-ehn. [name_m]Both[/name_m] the spelling and pronunciation of [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] seem unreasonably frilly.

I adore the [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] spelling! It just looks so romantic to me! Of course there’s also [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], as in [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] from Gone with the Wind.

I love the [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] Spelling!

I prefer [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], but if you’re going to pronounce it viv-ee-uhn I’d spell it [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. Of course, my favourite is [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] because of [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u].

I prefer the more polished and less frilly [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is a little too over-the-top frilly for me and it has a different pronunciation as well.

FYI - [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] was born [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].

Vivian. I pronounce them differently–Viv-ee-uhn versus Viv-ee-ehn. Both the spelling and pronunciation of Vivienne seem unreasonably frilly.

This exactly, [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] sounds way too frilly, unless you’re [name_m]French[/name_m] :).

I like the length of [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] compared to [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. I feel like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] has more finesse to it. But that might just be me because I like, [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] over [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. I feel like there are enough short names that I like, so I prefer longer spellings.

I like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] better.

I’ve always liked the [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] spelling more. It’s to the point, no frills, no fuss. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is much to frilly and princessy for my tastes.

I love both but slightly prefer [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].

Definitely [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] feels pretentious and a little over-the-top unless you’re [name_m]French[/name_m], while [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is subtly feminine and sleek. I’ve also seen it spelled [name_f]Viviane[/name_f] occasionally.
