My opinion: definitely [name]Barron[/name], by process of elimination. [name]Brighton[/name] is great in theory, but it bothers me the way people will say it differently. Some will pronounce the T on the tips of their tongues, while others will swallow the T in the backs of their throats. Barrington is super cute (reminds me of Paddington [name]Bear[/name]!), but looks too much like a surname to be a first name to me. [name]Barron[/name] is perfect and would work great from infancy right through old age. Easy to pronounce and spell. [name]Will[/name] never be confused with your surname (ie, people having to ask “wait, was his name Barrington [name]Spencer[/name] or [name]Spencer[/name] Barrington?”).
[name]Barron[/name] is too titley for me, as is Barrington. Too close to names like [name]Prince[/name] or [name]King[/name] or Counselor.
So [name]Brighton[/name]'s my pick. Handsome but sprightly.
[name]Barron[/name] is a Trump name, and of course a hereditary title as cosmonaut pointed out-- like [name]Earl[/name] or [name]Lord[/name].
[name]Brighton[/name] is a seaside town on the south coast of [name]England[/name] that’s synonymous with cheap thrills, kind of. It’s like naming your kid the equivalent of “spring break!” or “[name]Vegas[/name]!”
Barrington, unless a family name, is frankly [name]OTT[/name] as a given name. It’s like a caricature of aspirational yuppie names.
I don’t want to be critical-- here are some more realistic suggestions that I think have the vibe you’re looking for:
[name]Bingham[/name]
[name]Barrett[/name]
[name]Bedford[/name]
[name]Bowman[/name]
[name]Bradford[/name]
[name]Bretton[/name]
[name]Bryant[/name]
Beaumont
[name]Blaine[/name]
[name]Bonaventure[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name]
Bryland
[name]Burrell[/name]
[name]Byrne[/name]
I would like [name]Barron[/name] if it didn’t remind me of the word barren. Barrington is too much of surname for my taste. I do like [name]Brighton[/name] even though it is a surname. [name]Brighton[/name] got my vote.
all of this exactly.
I think these are perfect for you!
Have you considered [name]Baird[/name]? Of your choices I like [name]Brighton[/name] nn [name]Bright[/name]. I also like [name]Barrett[/name], [name]Boone[/name] (different vibe), [name]Brooks[/name] and [name]Beau[/name].
[name]Brighton[/name] sounds way too feminine. I chose [name]Barron[/name] as it seems a lot more masculine and sophisticated. What about [name]Barrett[/name] or Brunswick?
