Which do you like better and why? [name]Ariella[/name] [name]Maren[/name] or [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name].
What pretty names! I’m going to vote for [name]Ariella[/name] [name]Maren[/name], because I love the combination’s flow. I think that [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name] is pretty, too, but to me, the flow doesn’t have the punch of [name]Ariella[/name] [name]Maren[/name]. Also, I think that [name]Aria[/name] could easily be a nickname for [name]Ariella[/name], so I guess I see [name]Ariella[/name] as two names in one!
(I think that [name]Aria[/name] is beautiful, too!)
[name]Edit[/name]: Okay…I know that this is no help to you, but now I’m really loving [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name]. I think of the melodic ocean, and it just feels so elegant and tranquil.
I still love the rhythm and sound of [name]Ariella[/name] [name]Maren[/name], but I think that [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name] has something special in terms of its uniqueness that isn’t found as much for me in [name]Ariella[/name]. (I guess that [name]Ariella[/name] feels more popular to me than it is, because of [name]Ariel[/name].) I’m also wondering if [name]Ariella[/name] may encounter pronunciation issues, because I’ve heard are-ee-ell-uh and air-ee-ell-uh. (I guess I’m reminded of [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Huffington[/name], and the way [name]Larry[/name] [name]King[/name] calls her air-ee-anne-uh and air-ee-on-uh.)
Okay. I’m changing my vote to [name]Aria[/name], due to its clearer pronunciation, its fresher feel to me, and the elegance of [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name].
Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong!
Best wishes to you, [name]Jilly[/name]!
Another vote for [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name] ([name]Jill[/name]'s melodic ocean comment clinched it for me!), although I too think that [name]Ariella[/name] [name]Maren[/name] is also beautiful. But [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name] does have something special.
[name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name] is gorgeous!!! [name]Aria[/name] is in our top five for number two and I think its absolutely stunning
[name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name], absolutely. Two of my favorite names, with beautiful meanings.
Thank you for your input! Any more comments please keep them coming. The DH has started to waver on [name]Maren[/name] … but hopefully your comments might sway him back. He at first said he liked it.
I think I am leaning towards [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name]. My big concern that it wasn’t “Jewish enough” (like our boy’s name) and that [name]Aria[/name] isn’t really Hebrew. But … [name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name] is so beautiful, and I think Ariya could be considered Hebrew. [name]Just[/name] like [name]Ariel[/name] is Hebrew, [name]Ari[/name]=lion and [name]El[/name]= G-d. In Hebrew “ya” is another name for G-d (like [name]El[/name]), so … Ariya. Though we’d probably just spell it [name]Aria[/name]. The pronunciation is slightly different (in Hebrew the emphasis would be on the last syllabus) but I think it is Hebrew enough for me.
Thanks again for your input, and keep those comments coming!
[name]Aria[/name] [name]Maren[/name] is beautiful! I’m sorry to hear your DH is second guessing [name]Maren[/name]. [name]Maureen[/name] is pretty but it does change the meaning.
