I voted for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], which is lovely, but if [name_f]Edith[/name_f] was an option, I would have chosen that. I think [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f] would be gorgeous!
I have a soft spot for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] only because it’s my nieces name, besides that I feel neutral about it. I adore [name_f]Edie[/name_f]. I have [name_f]Edie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] “[name_f]Edie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]” on my short list. [name_f]Edie[/name_f] fits right in with the feel and style of many names.
I voted for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] as [name_f]Edie[/name_f] does feel a bit nicknamey to me, but also if you love both names but your partner’s choice would be [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], I think it is the winner.
Hard to vote because I like both names equally. Both are super adorable! I think since your partner likes [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] that’s a winner! I vote [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] because you both like it and it’s a sweet name for a baby girl
Instead of [name_f]Edie[/name_f], what about [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. It is very close, so you may like it.
I would much rather be named [name_f]Edie[/name_f], personally, so that’s what I voted for
Thanks for the responses everyone.
I’ve actually discovered that, in addition to being #21 on Australia’s most popular names for babies in 2018, [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is in the top 10 names for girls born in 2018 at a hospital near me. It’s just becoming too popular for me. Such a shame.
I love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].
I’ve love [name_f]Eadie[/name_f], as a full name. [name_f]Edie[/name_f] perhaps as a nickname for [name_u]Eden[/name_u].
