I voted for [name]Katerina[/name], but it was a close call; I love [name]Maxine[/name] too. I just think it’s harder to be a girly ‘[name]Max[/name]’ (and [name]Maxie[/name] stinks, to be honest: maxi pad comes right to mind) So [name]Katerina[/name] it was! Easier to be a [name]Kat[/name] or [name]Kitty[/name] or [name]Kate[/name].

Its funny but I really did not expect [name]Maxine[/name] to generate much attention! lol My man seems to like it, but personally I really dont like it, I feel its frumpy and old ladyish. I can see old lady [name]Maxine[/name] chainsmoking down at the bingo hall with [name]Selma[/name] and [name]Louise[/name]! lol
Its weird and I guess a little arrogant of me but I really expected my name list to garner more adoration after all my names are sooooo much prettier and elegant! lol

I actually am one of the votes for [name]Maxine[/name]. I really like the name, and don’t get any frumpy associations personally. I have heard of a few other nn’s for it besides [name]Max[/name] and [name]Maxie[/name]: [name]Molly[/name], Xine and Teeny.

I voted for [name]Katerina[/name], though it was a really hard choice between that and [name]Victoria[/name]. [name]Katerina[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] would actually be really sweet.
[name]Hi[/name] - I voted for [name]Victoria[/name], with [name]Rebecca[/name] being my second favorite. [name]Both[/name] names are beautiful classics!
[name]Hi[/name]! I realise I’m late to the party, but I’d also just like to comment on [name]Maxine[/name]. It is the name of my best friend of 20yrs since childhood and she is definitely not a frumpy old lady, 
but a busy mom with a 2yo [name]Noah[/name]! 
I think a lot of people, including me, like [name]Maxine[/name], but not [name]Max[/name] for a girl. She does occasionally get called [name]Max[/name], but all her close friends and family call her Maxseeni or Seens, but most often Seeni. WDYT? I hope this helps change your view of the name a little?
My 2nd vote would have gone to [name]Dominique[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! - and then I like all but four of the other names: [name]Jeanette[/name] - personally dislike -ette suffixes

Its funny how personal association can colour a names image. I can understand that having a wonderful friendship with a sweet person with a certain name can upgrade the names status.
I just really don’t like the name [name]Maxine[/name] just like I dont like [name]Edna[/name] or [name]Selma[/name] or (sorry nameberries) [name]Olive[/name].
I just don’t like em, doesnt mean others cant like them, doesn’t even mean they are bad names. They are simply not my style. [name]Maxine[/name] is not my style, neither are jeanette, kylie, [name]Dominique[/name], [name]Alison[/name], or [name]Lexie[/name].
In fact off of his list the only names im really open to are [name]Julianna[/name], [name]Victoria[/name], and [name]Rebecca[/name].
I am a tough cookie when it comes to names, as i feel they are so very important.
